They have big refuse trucks for waste food. I saw one at the George's Street branch.
They stop the offers from time to time if they are attracting too many undesireables.
My local's staff actually said they've stopped doing those particular sticker reductions. The chilled reduced corner is gone. They still do the orange 30% off stickers on chilled/bakery
Got chicken breasts with the orange sticker this evening so definitely not in every Lidl
Its still in my local Lidl, they have a 30% off section at the bottom of the fridges around the corner from where the Super 6 meats are. Its rare though there is anything in it I want and it is usually pretty empty. Maybe Im there at the wrong times, is it filled up early in the mornings? The odd time on a Monday you can get a good deal on roast joints from the weekend but havent seen them in a while.
My local Dunnes has a salmonella shelf too but recently they have been only reducing stock by 25% whereas before it used to be at least 50% and sometimes more. A lot of whats there are ready meals that are almost 4 euro, they arent even worth that never mind almost 5 euro at full price.
Alot of the time the reduction only matches what you pay when purchasing multi-buys; I know Lidl rarely does multi-buys (more of a M&S thing); last night in my Dunnes there was pre-cooked chicken reduced from €3 to €2 but they were 2 for €4; would rather 2 fresh ones !!

Got 2 Scratchcards in one shopping trip yesterday funnily
lately - last few weeks, I'm having to go back into my receipts a day after or a few hours and get the scratch off.
much preferred the old orange 30%off tags that was showing price before and after .
This new orange tags are easier to apply by staff but don't give me the 'great value' impulse like the old ones ( hint for lidl mgmt)
Scratches are still coming at a rate of 1 per day ( technically 1 every 10 hrs ) as long as i keep the app updated

the staff just tap a button for 30% off, its nice the price is displayed for you but in our local there are some snowy fingers left over from Christmas and the price on the label is something like 4 euro with the 30% off, which i think surely cant be right, it must be from some other product and they forgot to clear the old price off it.
or im out of touch with the price of reduced Christmas stock in late February.
