There's actual bots and soft-bots. The soft-bots don't directly take their cues from anyone but it's clear where they're getting them from. Remember, up til yesterday Biden and the Yanks were warmongers for commenting at all. Now they're pussies for not having a direct war with Russia. There's no point trying to understand nonsense.
Like I don't get everything in The Harry Hill show but I've had some great fun watching it.
If you go over to the rugby forum there’s a poster named Clegg. I thought it would be a play on my role there to pretend to be the coercer’s bitch. This place on the other hand is crawling with shills.
Most of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions are controlled by Ukraine - the next big question is what kind of borders will be drawn. Is it just the areas currently controlled by the separatists and Russia, or the entire regions. In the latter case, we can expect the newly-recognised states to say something like "HELP! We are being occupied by Ukraine".
Russia have asked for their views to be respected for years. Now it seems that Putin is not waiting any longer to be given respect, he is taking it.
I assume you mean having their views respected you mean that Russia can do what it wants in Eastern Europe, regardless of what those other sovereign nations want?
That is not having their views respected, that is being a conquerer and expecting nobody else to utter a word about it.
You would have loved Hitler circa 1938 Shao Kahn
20 minutes after the drone crew have left.
They could mass produce the T14 Armata with cheap domestic raw materials and energy.
Putin is well capable of re-aligning Russia's resources to whatever he consider's more important. He has shown this with enormous infrastructure developments, mega ports, record breaking bridge construction etc.
That's assuming he's even planning for that sort of conventional warfare.
No US or Nato aircraft are circling Ukraine ,they left ,
Flights are over Poland ,lativa and Lithuania
No, you are putting words in my mouth. I never said that.
It's dangerous to make these assumptions.
The internet is embarrassing sometimes
The potential for Russia is incredible, if it could equal Germany in 20 years it would be an incredible achievement.
Its now equivalent to Belgium and Holland combined.
For it's size and it's wealth it is poor in an African sense of the word.
It is a behemoth but sustained costs in a conflict will break it quickly, it's not at the races at all.
If a little of its great resources was left among fall among Hoi polloi it would be.
All this is in putin's self interest, not Russia's. Will be interesting to see what happens when he's gone (or if he'll hang on mugabe like as his facilities and faculties fail him).
I see Lavrov is stating this morning that Ukraine does not have a right to sovereignty. I think we know where this is going. Alarming.
Ukraine has no right to its sovereignty according to Lavrov. They aren't even bothering to lie about their intentions anymore.
Ireland currently has two main sources of gas supply – Corrib and imports from the UK via two gas interconnector pipelines. Corrib supplies around 60% of Ireland’s annual demand with about 40% imported from the UK. Gas production from Corrib is forecast to decline over the next decade, accounting for less than 20% of demand by 2025 with supply ceasing around 2030.
And Oil
The majority of our oil arrives already refined (petrol, diesel, home heating oil, aviation fuel), mainly from the United Kingdom.
Norway too I believe but we will be badly hit by the inevitable price surges.
A good hashtag trending will teach him
Big surge in oil and gas prices today. There's going to be one hell of a shock to the markets when the actual invasion gets going.
There was some mention on here about putins health last night ,
Watch the video of his delusional speech last night one hand is firmly planted on the table and never moves ,the other hand he has a noticeable twitch in his thumb ,and his other fingers .
To me it looks odd
He doesnt seem right in the head. Or suffering from other issues. Was very odd rambly speech.
That doesn't even have or else, it's just we are going to invade you. It does beg the question of how one can negotiate in good faith with any of the Russian actors.
On top of the above, manufacturers are facing supply chain issues, labor shortages, and increasing costs for just about everything.
China will completely agree with that statement.
Even UEFA are looking at sanctions!
It's Germany will feel it the worst, over 40% of their gas is Russian
Yes and if German manufacturing suffers we will all suffer.
No chance, Gazprom are pumping a fortune in UEFA in sponsorship
If there are oil or gas sanctions they won't have millions to pump in!
Sure the annexed Crimea and occupied eastern Ukraine and still kept the world cup, and gave fifa a list of demands that Ukraine football couldn't do
Ireland's economy is mock. We are a tax haven the money is not ours.
Yeah Russia is basically signalling and rapidly laying the groundwork for a serious, large-scale intervention.
What's really worrying today is watching and listening to the reaction of politicians, diplomats and commentators, many of whom still cannot grasp or comprehend what is unfolding right now. The false hopes are returning, they're hopeful that the invasion will be limited to the placing of troops in DNR & LNR.
The reality on the ground is that more Russian military forces are advancing towards the Ukrainian border this morning, hospitals in the separatist areas are being evacuated of civilians and we are seeing convoys of military ambulances departing their staging areas.
All things are pointed towards a major invasion occurring. All of the people I referenced above are going to have a very sobering moment in the days ahead. The security consensus in Europe, indeed the world, is changing like we have not seen in decades. Their views and interpretations on Russia have been wrong and it is deeply troubling to think of what Putin is capable of doing once you start to realise that.
