kildare v Kerry , was to start at 1:45 but delayed by 15 minutes due to gridlock in the town. It’s the first match without limited numbers so was always going to be busy . Hearing from friends that it’s taking 45 minutes or more from M7 on all roads in.

If an Ambulance had to come through the town, there would be no way for the cars on each side to pull over and let it travel through.

Seems like the plans will need to be tweeked somewhat.

What is Morristown woods and the Oaks like to live ? Thinking of moving to Newbridge.

I read school places are hard, is this certain ages or across the board. With 4 primary schools you'd think there would be some places.

You are correct. He was behind Finlays but as you say it’s quite some time ago.

Was looking to take train from Newbridge to the city center. Almost 25€ with the Luas - what the actual fck. This should be a consideration for anyone thinking to live in Newbridge and commute 2-3 days a week using the train. My office has free parking, it's 55km return, that would cost approx 10-15€ on fuel per day comparing to these train price. Sickening

Off topic question here folks, and not specific to Newbridge, but with all the new estates being built around the town - where can one see the prices? On daft all of them appear to come up as price available on request. Is there anywhere to see how much these houses are going for without putting yourself on a waiting list?

I'm liking the new cycle lanes. - and I don't cycle

1 - Cars are driving much slower on that section where they used to go a fair speed

2 - I was walking along to go to Ulster bank from Whitewater and I felt a great separation from the traffic as I got to the area with the cycle lanes. It was almost like a buffer.

Hopefully it's part of a more joined up system and just 300m on its own is neither here nor there.

I would agree with every word You say Damien. The taste is awful sometimes.

there are 2 memorials in the curragh camp that I know of. One is beside the fire station on the far side of that small carpark outside the church. The other is further in on that same side. From the Newbridge direction, turn right when you see the old post office. Go through the barrier and continue down past the school, about half way then turn right and there is a very nice memorial there beside the parachute guys area (it’s named on building). Likely one of those two. The function will likely will be in the mess on that same side near the school.

its only for a once off job my back garden has been neglected and is very overgrown.
