There is a distinct disconnect been the US and EU. Thankfully this time EU leaders seem intent on diplomacy instead of marching to the beat of the Yankee drum.
I suppose it focuses the mind a bit when said potential war is on your doorstop rather than thousands of miles away.

Why wait, I'll say it now. Biden has been pushing for a conflict since his poll numbers walked off a cliff. History and agreements seem to be lost on you or you have fallen prey to the woke propaganda being fed to you daily. NATO was supposed to be dissolved in the aftermath of WW2 but it wasn't it was fed more by America to bolster there ever expanding reach. Agreements were made for ex USSR states to be exempt from joining NATO again ignored by the Americans and NATO. Now look at the comparisons between the Cuban missile crisis and the current situation, would seem quite hypocritical from the American POV wouldn't it.
And lastly for those over educated woke warriors who identify as opposite sex blah blah blah you think they are going to take up arms and protect you?
Personally I look forward to the incoming incursion, as the world needs a woke cleansing which is what this will become.
A Russian on Twitter made a very simple comment on this: If Europe and the US wanted to end this war fast it should just offer EU or US citizenship to any Russia soldier who defects. It would be done.

Speaking of UAV's, I had a look at this un-named airfield in Crimea ( East) and spotted two UAV's on the tarmac. These are the much celebrated Orion "drone Killers".
No sign of them being airborne over last 2 weeks.

yes it has nothing to do with the threat of nuclear war and the inevitable destruction. its the very reason Western leaders are so perplexed, Putin gains nothing and in a conventional war, Russia is destroyed. But in a nuclear war nobody wins.

I'd like to see independently managed, internationally funded, 'non-aligned'/non-combatant surveillance drones monitoring the battlefield as a matter of course in all future conflicts.
They could be used to keep an eye on all parties. Would provide helpful data for investigating contentious incidents and claims. Shooting one down would be a war crime.
Or for some to cry about the American surveillance,

No such thing as non aligned in Europe ,and as seen with Russia shooting down flight MH17 over ukraine ,they were able to directly interfere with the investigation even to the point where the term Shooting down was removed from UN documents at the orders of putin
I know the Russians don't give a hoot (and in fauirness there are some hawks in D.C. that don't give a hoot about international law/the U.N.), but it would still be good to have an independent formal mechanism for recording war crimes, such as targetting of civilians. It's like being a victim of domestic violence and keeping a record of every time a line has been crossed. It's not the entire answer, but it part of the answer and it has to be done.

Putin seems to do what he wants, sanctions don't work, he invades Ukraine, takes it over, and the US stops him buying a stetson cowboy hat, and then the USA will tell the world '' that'll teach Putin'' . The USA is weak, gone are the days that they randomly drop atomic bombs on innocent people going about their business.
The Russian troops are there for he taking, one step into the Ukraine and the USA should take them out by air.
