If no one is at my property on census night I assume I’m except.
planninh being out of Europe on census night as I won’t be making any census declarations.
They say London is lovely in April, I shall avail.
Who do you think that you are coding ?
There are two parts of the census, those who were present on the night and those that would normally be resident there.
Thanks for sharing
Congrats you have successfully opted out of all functions of the oppressive Irish state.
By the way if you plan to be in London and don't want to avail of any infrastructure etc that has been provided by the state based in part on needs identified through past censuses I suggest you start walking across fields etc in mid March and bring an axe so you can craft a canoe because swimming the Irish Sea in April will be a bitch.
Probably be the same person whinging that there is no provision for local amenities/schools etc. in their locality.
Yea. And will then vote for one of the Trotskyist candidates in the next election in order to preserve their freedom 🤣
If no one is at your property on census night then it is assumed by the state to be unoccupied.
The County Council will then assume ownership.
The property will then be handed over to a state employee.
what’s this voting you talk of?….. never voted in my life and not even on the register.
afraid not old chap, way to far ahead of those muppets.
Never voted in your life but feel happy to bitch and moan about government. And I'll bet you're happy to be on every welfare register and housing list going. One hand out and the other in a fist. The classic Irish whinger.
If you don't play your part in society you have no right to complain about that society.
You're bringing your property with you ?
Fair play, big man.
Next time you wonder why transport/childcare/education/council/public/private services don't serve your needs then just look back over your childlike thread. You've not even bothered to read what the census does and you can barely string a Junior Cert-level sentence together.
By the way, London is indeed in Europe... in April or any other month. But it's very expensive, and it has far more intense surveillance and data gathering than any Irish census can ever harvest. You seem to think you're getting one over on someone or something. But the joke is very much on you.
My nephew is 'foreign born' as my sister was working in London when she had him.
He's not brown though - can he stay in your world?
Oh no! Is he a 'Brit'????
Go easy you two.
Don't scare him off just yet.
The Church and then the EU.
Never Voted: "WHO put these muppets in charge?" (People who voted for them and non-voters). "They don't represent me! They don't have my values" (Then vote for someone who does)
Avoid the Census (Cos of microchipping governments or something): Damn disgrace! No/poor public transport in my area. There are thousands here (How will they know?). No schools!!! No churches, no representation. (No info)
The pride in this annoys me. If you don't vote for something you believe in then you have voted against it. If you don't voice your opinion when given the chance then don't complain when your opinion is ignored. It's not being ignored, it's being missed.
In short: Don't participate? Don't complain.
Given that you can't write even the most basic English sentence properly it's just as well you're not completing the form. God alone knows what kind of sloppy half witted answers you'd be putting down. One less shoddily completed form for our hard working civil servants to try and interpret.
It was 17.368% in the 2016 census. Less than 20% but not that much less.
Do you have a link to the source for that figure, @Badly Drunk Boy? I make it under 12%.
They normally do a snapshot of where the population stands on an exact night, but this year I'm pretty sure you can fill in your forms as to where you would normally be if you weren't abroad or staying somewhere else. They might get you at the airport anyway as they have tourist enumerators at airports too.
The figure for born in Ireland is 3879515, and the total pop was 4689921. Which makes the % not born here 17.28%.
Interestingly, if you added ALL of the black and black Irish to that figure it still wouldn't reach 20%, so the poster was way off with his assertion.
No need for me to fill out the form this year, Im just going to think of the answers and then they will be broadcast through the 5G chip in my arm 💪
Was it always a crime not to fill it out with 44K fine? I dont remember this before. I will be at a wedding in Belfast on that day what must i do ?.
Read the information. You fill it in with the details of those who would normally be resident in the house on the day.
Genuine question, will Ukranian refugee's be counted on census night?
Yes.
Yes, they will:
"By law, everyone in the country on that night must be included on a census form." Source
An instruction guide for filling out the form, including a translation of the questions, is available in Ukrainian and 21 other languages, but the form itself must be filled out in either Irish or English.
I disagree on the voting part.
If you vote and you elect dishonest, incompetent people into office who screw everything up, you are responsible for what they have done. You caused the problem because ultimately you voted them in; thus you have absolutely no right to complain. If I did not vote, I am in no way responsible for what these politicians have done. I have every right to complain as loud as I want because you created this mess by voting for corrupt, incompetent politicians.
Have you tried voting for honest competent people instead?
Because the Irish political scene is positively replete with such outstanding public representatives..
In my locality? There are none. There are no politicians with any talent, honesty, competence or vision here. That’s the problem Andrew.
