Naturism is non-sexual by definition, please never attend a naturist event if you have something else in mind, it will be very boring for you and awkward for everyone. People will be reporting any inappropriate behaviour. It's very easy to notice who is not on the naturist wavelength.
Oh, not sure which generation you belong to but if you are looking for porn you won't find it in H&E.
I understand that the naturist message does not come across perfectly if someone is determined to deny the fact that nakedness can be non-sexual. It's a pity in my opinion because you are missing out an interesting part of self-development in life.
With this thread I am hoping to reach out to people who see the value of self-acceptance and respect through social nudity. It's somehow magic or at least special to be in such non-judgemental environment, and people usually report increase in self-esteem and mental health positivity.
Have you ever been to saunas in Germany? Children have the same rights to enter a sauna if they wish so.
Here in Ireland many people have the same reaction as GlossyBox and out of caution the venues might give us only permission for bookings with adults. However, the answer is the same: non-sexual social nudity is as legal here as it is in other European countries.

Ye're in for a shock going to a indoor swimming pool during the winter in County Kerry lads, they ain't exactly proficient in turning on or even turning up the central heating in these places.
Ah, I see now the misunderstanding, GlossyBox: We don't organise any specific activities with/for children, they are supervised by their own parents, so it is just the lifeguards from the venue who are garda vetted, of course. It is the same as going to a swimming pool with your children, the other visitors are not garda vetted.

This is the most typical question coming from men who have never been in a naturist setting before.
What would you do if that happens in a swimming pool with your swimming attire on? I suppose you wouldn't want people to get the wrong idea, so you would try to hide it, go away, etc.
In practice it does rarely happen because for naturists being naked is a normalised social situation.
Luckily for us, the venue has a sauna, a steam room and a jacuzzi, so it will be perfect to be alternating cold and heat.
We are always looking for saunas in our bookings, it is the perfect complement to naked swimming.
But what if you’re chatting up a bird and you really find her attractive. Boner might give your game away if you’re trying to play it cool.

This pool is visible from outdoors (walkway from a housing estate). I know because I used to be a member I grew up down the road. Unless it has changed now. Seems a bit mad and not sure if it’s a wind up but good luck with it I guess!

Naked swimming is much better in the sea its cold & refreshing the pool feels like swimming in warm wee.

Haha, yes, I am aware of it, but I also imagine for every frivolous comment here there must be many more other silent readers who just acknowledge the information and might use it in future.
I couldn't find any naturist section in this forum, although to be honest, people who are interested in naturism find us very easily on their own (they just need to google "naturism in Ireland" and we are number 1 result, and number 3 if laziness makes you type "naturism"), which is why I believe we need to go out of our way to disseminate our activity. My first and foremost goal is not to convince people to give it a try (some people will never want to put themselves in that position), I just pursue tolerance and social awareness.
By the way, an interesting fact is that naturism appeals to people with disabilities (guiding us by the enquiries we get), which is very logical and in consonance with our ideology of respect for every body.
I totally understand this point. We actually have some members who only do sea swimming, others may go solely to nudist beaches abroad because of the temperatures. And there are also the members who only do indoors because they want to feel safe and non judged by the general public.
Every year I am pondering what date to choose as the start of our beach meetups. I'd tend towards May, when the sea is hopefully clearly over 10 degrees...

I've been to naturist places in Spain and France. Massive places with hundreds if not thousands of naturists during the summer peak. In such places, I find that the novelty of being naked quickly wears off because you are in a packed place with loads of other people where naturism is the norm and it is actually people wearing clothes that look out of place.
It is totally correct that naturism does not equal swinging or sexual exhibitionism but there are definitely naturists who also enjoy those activities. Those large European resorts either have a general policy banning such behaviour or have a designated area away from the rest of the family friendly places where such behaviour is tolerated.
I find the problem with outdoor naturism locations in Ireland is that it can attract unsavoury characters. There is a naturist place in Dublin that is visible briefly from the dart and I've seen on a few occasions from the train men masturbating there. Not good and gives naturists a bad name but that has put me off naturism in Ireland partly because there are relatively very few genuine naturists in Ireland compared to those other countries and so the creeps tend to stand out more.

That is probably one of the main reasons naturists in Ireland join our organisation, they feel safe among other genuine naturists.
But it is not even necessary to officially join, we organise open outdoor meetups where all naturists are welcome. Do take advantage of those meetups (we have a monthly newsletter) if you are interested. White Rock Beach is quite genuinely naturist, there is no space to hide for other purposes.
