Ukraine is not an independent state. An organized western-backed coup removed the government of Viktor Yanukovych. Silly to claim this was a people’s uprising, when leaked audiotapes showed intervention by the west. The US involved itself in the country affairs before and after the coup. Russia knows all well this is an active measure attempt to keep Russia weak. Anyone who doesn’t see that living in a fantasy world.
Russia warned Ukraine joining Nato is a red line that should not be crossed. Ukraine is silly enough to do that then and Nato accepts it's our fault for all consequences that come later. Massing troops inside the borders is still not an invasion. Russia asked the west to compromise. West prefers to weaponize Ukraine. Nuts but we heading the wrong way.

Well you know, Russia is forced into this because Nato has surrounded it, it's Russia's right to defend itself. But not Ukraine, they have no right to sovereignty. Yes the only way for Russia to defend itself from tyranny is by destroying Ukraine. It's all fine though because you know, the Ukrainians are just Russians in denial right? I mean if you want to use democracy of course they don't see themselves as Russians but after Russia invades, murders them, inserts their political leadership, takes control of all elections and media and re-educates them, they will understand, that they were Russian all along. Viktor Yanukovych was impeached on a 328-0 vote by the Ukrainian parliament after he sent the hated Berkut in to massacre peaceful protestors on the Maidan.
He then fled to Russia and into the bosom of his fellow criminal Putin.
Yanukovych should have spent most, probably all of the rest of his life in prison.

I dont think you understand. Appeasement has never worked. If you reward someone for aggression, you can only blame yourself when they are again aggressive in the future. If you do not stand up to them now, you will be defending your own home in the future. There is no problem if Russia wants to pursue a diplomatic route but if we allow them to flout international law, it will lead to more chaos and loss of life than a regional war. The world has had declining wars and war related fatalities since WW2 because we have international law and a world order, Russia can not be allowed to tear that progress up.

It is not appeasement to accept Russia's demands about Ukraine joining Nato.. Think this is a logical step to avoid war. Can turn down other demands deem unacceptable.
Russia has always said Ukraine joining Nato would trigger an invasion and any attack against Crimea would be met with force.
