Keeping 130,000 +troops fed and warm doesn't come cheap ,they can keep them there , but at the same time in Ukraine life goes on as it has done for the last 8 + years of occupation ,the longer Russia stays and does nothing the longer Ukraine can invest in defense of the country ,the Russian people who are already saying that the aggression against there neighbors and families is wrong , questions will start to be asked

C) Do neither, instead keep the bulk of these forces around Ukraine applying constant pressure. Interfere with airlines, shipping, trade, etc. Keep up cyber-attacks, etc. Put Ukraine in an increased and seemingly unending vice. Never sure when a full invasion could take place. Costs to keep the military there as opposed to elsewhere are minimal. Win-win situation for Putin.

The holocaust was a lot of things, but a "geopolitical catastrophe" is not one of them. The Jews were not a geographical or political grouping. They were an ethnic or religious group.
It would be far more apt, to refer to the holocaust as a human or humanitarian catastrophe. (or better yet an outrageous act of barbarism and cruelty)
