I am happy enough with my 6700XT but I can't let go of the dream of getting a 6800 or 6900XT at actual RRP

No that was a unique ID for the last drop. You'll have to enter via the AMD store as normal unless you get another valid queue-it link from some source. looking like it's a small drop today RX6800 & RX6800XT only by the looks of it....

open the page now and it just gives you a countdown, you're not in que, just shows the event time, once it goes live you're added to a que
Ah, gotcha. I was refreshing mine since a few minutes ago but that only appeared now. I'd say at this stage if you're not in, in the first second or two, you're out of luck!
Actually I just see it's randomised. At least that's a bit more fair, luck of the draw really, kinda like the Newegg raffle system.

Good news - looks like the EU took a big delivery of RX6800 and RX6800XT cards so there should be drops for the foreseeable future.
Bad news - The bot spoken about in the reddit discussion cleared up again this week with over 200 orders from the 350 in Europe, it got 46 of the 50 RX6800 and 44 of the 50 RX6800XT today. (Source - Hardwareluxx)
Jayus, Who ever developed that bot has a great understanding of how AMD developed the online system for their store.

Trial and error. Every time AMD changed the system, it took them weeks to months to get a handle on it.
It's more than that, they changed stuff yesterday and last week and he cleaned up.
Either way he must be very talented.
I didn't try today but it seems like AMD have had a major crack down on bots and scripts today. Basically blocking them and their use.
Did anyone here have any success ?
No luck I'm afraid, AMD did however have a nice pop up asking you to confirm you weren't a bot and input a sequence of numbers and letters about 5-10 mins after joining the queue.
6900xt on Adverts for 1300, might be able to haggle him down for a quick sale.
Probably the least inflated high end card I've seen in a long time.
