In case someone finds the discussion title appealing, I'd like to announce our very first indoor booking for private nudist swimming in Killarney.
Sunday 20 February 2022 from 4.30pm onwards.

Our private booking is exactly from 5pm to 7pm at Killarney Leisure Centre: pools, jacuzzi, sauna...
People are kindly requested to arrive between 4.30 and 4.45, so that I can take the payments - it will be 20 euro for non members and free of charge this time for our members. We will then be able to go to the changing rooms.
I live in Dublin and will be driving to Killarney on the 20th February. I am very happy about this first booking, we have never had any indoor event in Co. Kerry before.
We are on a constant search for new leisure centres willing to accommodate our private nudist bookings.

These are spaces and venues for naturists to swim naked and use the other facilities on offer. I have been going to regular INA-organised swims for a number of years now. Any inappropriate sexual innuendo or activity at these events is strictly not permitted and would lead to membership being revoked.
Still plenty of people in this country that have the deeply immature attitude that nudity = sex. 🙄

It's televised, you'll be able to keep up , not quite the experience though.
The only “rule” I remember, when I was, briefly, a guest at a nudist campsite, was you never sit down without a towel.

Ah, I beg to disagree. This after hours forum is just within a "social" topic, and the word naturism is quite clear at least for the initiated people. It is a wholesome family activity. In some pools we even get permission to bring children, in others the insurance only covers adults.
Yes, the main rule in a sauna would be to use a towel to sit on.
This is an indoor swim booking, so the water is heated, not cold in the least.

Not at all. I'm involved in child protection policies for an organisation and at the very least all adults must be garda vetted if there's children involved.
That's before we get to the nakedness and how appropriate this is with children present, even in the absence of sexual activity.
It's a valid question.
I'n questionong how is the idea of family-orientated naturism new to you? It's been going on for the last century.
Also, If you're in child protection, then surely you know what the laws are already?

The OP got it.
There the problem with Irish attitudes. In other countries where they don't have such weird hang ups about the naked body, there are no such worries. Adults and children are perfectly comfortable with being naked, without any kind of innuendo.
