They havent even spent any money on it whatsoever to make it liveable and comfortable. They just stuck in a few bits of cheap second hand furniture. Literally its old classrooms with cheap useless furniture - pathetic.
It looks like the agent for that school one used to be Camelot, who were big about 10 - 12 years ago doing this sort of thing.
They would manage vacant buildings, and provide them as temporary accommodation on a license/caretaker basis.
Just think of the fun you could have with a box of chalks decorating your room though. Or playing hangman.
Oh you'd be playing hangman alright if you ended up living there...
The hallway in the first is the same size as one of the classrooms... 😜🙄
I'm always amused when estate agent descriptions of derelict houses say "x bedrooms x bathrooms". The house does not in any meaningful way have those rooms, it would be a gut job and strip back to bare walls if you wanted to live there and with 40 m2 you'd have to eliminate one maybe two rooms by knocking internal walls. So the number of bed/bath is what you make it when you're done renovating.
Loads of old schoolhouses have been bought and done up into nice houses. Nothing wrong with it whatsoever.
What's unusual here is that nothing has been done to change it from a schoolhouse to a house.
Ah leave Seamie alone, he's only doing his job :)
If you want to live there you'll need to go 'whoops' with the digger and know your hurling.
Anyone watch "Selling Irelands most exclusive homes"? Wowsers
All you'ld need to top it off is an inflatable Christian Brother.
Saw this one posted on Reddit.

Yeah, was pretty good I thought!
€365,000 for that shitheap in fcuking Galway!!! That is absolute madness.
How can it be legal to have no window in a bedroom, there is no fire escape?
The inflatable 'Brudder' would be a bit out of place there.
The school in that listing was St. Josephs, a girls primary school.
The 'Brothers' was across on the other side of town.
St. Joseph's, the Brothers (primary) and a 3rd school, St. Michael's which was also started by the Brothers 150 years ago, were amalgamated into a new school at the top of the town.
The new school is named after Catherine McAuley, the founder of the Mercy sisters, which is one of the 2 all girls secondary schools in the town.
Heathens can now go to the new Educate Together and afterwards to the 'Tech'.
Those with notions, will continue to cross the bridge to St. Canice's Primary school on the Kilkenny side of the river for a 'better' education, although they remain in county Wexford.
I hope that clears things up :)
It’s insanity. Even in Dublin, it would be insane. It’s not even like it’s right by the water…..must be a half mile walk. I don’t think they get even close to that tbh. I’m surprised that Sherry Fitz are on it….thought it would be some self posted listing
It actually gets worse every time you look at it 365k for that!! Surely no one will pay that? Surely the valuer for the bank will say it's not worth that??
I'm saving a picture of it, for posterity!
You wouldn't want to be carrying any extra weight going down that passageway 😂
Or like looking out the window in the middle bedroom or kitchen.
On the positive side, looking at the street view your reversing skills will be greatly improved.
Is that what used to be a garage at the side of the house, converted into a long 'bungalow'?
You'd really want to live in Salthill to pay that much for that. Madness.
Imagine if you did buy it and someone comes around to check it out. They then say how much was it. They will think you were insane.
Is that near the 40 ft ?
About 40ft away from it!
My ex when first coming to Ireland 🇮🇪 was direct and honest when seeing these big monsters of houses all over the country

Yes I helped my mate do his up years back Ballynoe ( past Mogeely)
he’s cool as he has adult kids n dogs so he didn’t want a palace
just a basic functioning house for gang

Well, that was an experience.
Former home of someone famous, but I can't remember who.
Gerry Ryan
No, I think it was Bruce Wayne
Gerry Ryan, if memory serves.
Given that he's ten years gone, I don't think he can be blamed for that decor!
