I'm still a bit skeptical. This guy has a habit of posting stuff that sounds obviously dumb to get a rise out of people. He seems to change his beliefs pretty constantly.
However this would also be the case for a lot of conspiracy theorists who are easily lead into beliefs they don't question and who enjoy pretending to be an expert with secret knowledge.
Either way, unless other conspiracy theorists start calling him out, they can't really complain about people comparing their beliefs to flat eartherism.

If the earth is supposedly this distance away, then you are not going to see a change in the physical size of the sun over the course of the day even from what their claims are that the earth is rotating, its just not physically possible
