Thanks Andy. Can you post link or something I can search on Amazon to get the same one you have?
This is the one I got, but in probably 99% of them they are all the same, or very similar….
Tyre Doctor Tyre Puncture Repair Kit (15) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00ISFJVSG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_PMJHYMWSRDGDB5WRMWV1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I have the exact same one in the boot of my MS.
Thanks Andy
Do people put mud flaps on rear or any good ideas to protect paint around the rear arches from stone chips? I believe the front mud flaps come as standard... Daily route has some extreme gradient in places and I wonder will the mud flaps get a wallop. Our Model S had the air suspension with location memory auto lift which was super handy
Keep an eye on the tesla shop I got the tesla ppf kit for the model 3 for around 50 quid, it's cut perfectly to protect back arches and lower rear cill
is the app down for everyone?
Working fine here on iOS
getting connection errors on both IOS and Android. feck
Ah I'm preaching to the choir then!
Preconditioning for third party chargers has been super handy! Not all chargers are on there such as ESB 150kw @ Athlone. But I just select the Ionity nearby to get the precond active.
Also charging can be set as a waypoint now also instead of a final destination.
Anyone know if those new Model 3's in inventory are on the Ryzen chip?
I don't think anyone knows for sure until they will be sitting in the car. There's a few collections happening over the next few days in the UK so will probably hear more about what hardware changes are there now; but there will still be a mixture for a little while yet I believe.
The ones with 2022 next to their name that are currently in the inventory (4 in there now) have VC01 listed in their options, as opposed to ones listed with 2021 which have VC00. You can see options once you open one and then View Source code
So it looks like newer cars in inventory have AMD Ryzen chip, according to codes listed here:
https://github.com/timdorr/tesla-api/blob/master/docs/vehicle/optioncodes.md
Just got VIN assigned in source code - Gray RWD, black interior, 18" wheels - 22 January order, still no delivery date listed
Been checking very regularly, but today when I opened the app it asked for permission to use Bluetooth so I figured a car must have been assigned, if it's trying to get set up to use phone as key... And I was right!
Checked mine now, and have a VIN too! Same as you, no delivery date either.
im an idiot, must have swiped across in the app (on both phones somehow), app was trying to connect to my stolen one.. lol
Can you not delete the stolen S from your account/app?
For cars with the AMD chip, it impacted the range (small reduction) and the TESLA site now specifies the reduced range. For anyone who ordered several months back when the site had quoted the higher range I understand they all got messages from Tesla advising and if they wanted to cancel they could. I assume therefore that if anyone didn't get a message the care allocated will have the new Ryzon chip,
I had the same experience, VIN assigned and then was asked for Bluetooth connection in app. I was in touch with the delivery team on Saturday and they said to expect the delivery date early this week
VIN finally appeared in source for us - Blue M3 standard ordered beginning October. Thought we were going to miss out.
Same for me...another milestone on journey
My app also asked for bluetooth permission, but no VIN assigned to me yet. Ordered on 29th January
Have you checked your order page's source code?
Look for LRW
This guide is for US built cars so asks you to search for different letters, but rest of the process is the same:
https://electrek.co/2021/07/14/how-to-reveal-your-tesla-vin-number-before-its-in-your-account/
Yeah I've been checking that, nothing in source code yet.
I rang them on Saturday to try and match to one of the existing inventories, but it was gone by the time I got through. The guy said existing inventory wouldn't arrive much sooner than what I'm scheduled for (sometime in March) and that I was 'soft matched' to a car anyway. No idea how promising that is though!
Saw a lovely Kildare reg on the N7 today in a powder blue. Obviously a wrap but it was very nice and unique.
For anyone who is checking to see if a VIN has been assigned before Tesla advises you, the link below helps if you use Chrome as your internet browser. It is a more simplified process which is user friendly and the source code ad doing a search. Just download the link
its just in a never ending 'connecting' loop
maybe if i contact them they could remove it.
A word of caution - I would recommend not giving third party apps from unknown sources the potential ability to access your account details, despite what a developer may say. Although Google has beefed up security in the last 12 months, the chrome web store can still be prone to malicious software/extensions and untrustworthy developers.
I feel the same way about third party apps on my phone that could access my Tesla account (generally for the purposes of getting additional stats or remote features). A recent hack showed some vulnerabilities, even if it was harmless enough. The Tesla app is the only authorised app AFAIK.
None the less, these type of hacks will no doubt become more prevalent and using a third party app that allows access to your account may potentially violate your T&Cs and possibly warranty with Tesla. To me, my account logon details are effectively my digital keys and I'm not making it available to anyone I don't trust. This is from their New Vehicle Warranty document.
Any damage to your vehicle's hardware or software, or any loss or harm to any personal information/data uploaded to your vehicle resulting from any modifications or unauthorized access to vehicle data or software from any source, including, but not limited to, non-Tesla parts or accessories, modifications, third party applications, viruses, bugs, malware, or any other form of interference or cyber attack;
Before I am accused of spreading a load of FUD, I am generally very risk-averse when it comes to my online digital security & privacy. I even have a privacy cover over my interior cabin cam, kind of like the ones that go over a web-cam on a laptop.
It is important to acknowledge that others may have the view that the risk is extremely low. Many people have used apps for a long time without issue that have a good reputation, such as TeslaFi. I have no issue with anyone that chooses to go down that path.
All I am saying is like all things in life, be informed and assume a level of risk you can sleep well at night with.
If you want to go down the rabbit hole on this, theres a solid thread over on the TMC:
Congrats all on yer allocation.
'soft matched' 🤣 at least their getting more creative in their customer service response's
