Working fine here on iOS
is the app down for everyone?
Keep an eye on the tesla shop I got the tesla ppf kit for the model 3 for around 50 quid, it's cut perfectly to protect back arches and lower rear cill
Thanks Andy
Do people put mud flaps on rear or any good ideas to protect paint around the rear arches from stone chips? I believe the front mud flaps come as standard... Daily route has some extreme gradient in places and I wonder will the mud flaps get a wallop. Our Model S had the air suspension with location memory auto lift which was super handy
I have the exact same one in the boot of my MS.
This is the one I got, but in probably 99% of them they are all the same, or very similar….
Tyre Doctor Tyre Puncture Repair Kit (15) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00ISFJVSG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_PMJHYMWSRDGDB5WRMWV1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Thanks Andy. Can you post link or something I can search on Amazon to get the same one you have?
I carry with me a puncture repair plug kit I got from Amazon, and an old Michelin 12v compressor I bought many years ago in Halfords.
have used the kit twice, but my Model 3 and a fellow Boardsie’s, and the repairs are still holding fine many thousands of km’s later.
Have people bought any products or accessories for puncture repair? Any good quality items people can recommend or might have had to use recently? No spare tyre that I’m aware of so just phoning Tesla roadside means I wouldn’t mind having another quicker solution if the tyre isn’t catastrophically damaged. What are the best compressors and maybe foam plug/repair kits…
Yep I totally understand. State of charge and battery temperature are huge factors. This will be our second Tesla and we’ve been a 2 EV household for nearly 4 years. I wrote earlier though that Kia ev6 with its 800v architecture although that is amazing, suffers from coldgating so in multiple reviews online it can’t get close to its headline figure outside of summer plus there are some HVAC recalls. Bjorn was trying to find solutions to ev6 BMS problems at high speed chargers by turning off HVAC for cabin so BMS had full use of the heating and cooling. Preconditioning in Tesla seems to be super effective when navigating to supercharger plus now I believe it does this when navigating to non Tesla high speed chargers like ionity. App and infotainment on M3 are top class in my opinion after owning and running 3 other EVs long term
You may already be aware that charging rate varies depending on various factors including temp & state of charge and even the charger itself.
Peak charging rates charge rates will only happen for small parts of the charge curve, if at all. I would frequently not get close on motorway trips even though conditions seem right.
Don't be disappointed when charging is lower than what you expect from DC fast charging. It's all designed to protect battery longevity at the end of the day.
Just don’t forget if claying, to decontaminate first. De-iron, fallout remover, tar etc
Be mindful that claying can mark the paint that only a machine polish can remove so plenty of lube 🤣
No, is the short and sweet answer.
grey RWD in there now which is very recent…
I have 2 white RWD’s ordered now. The inventory one has no hitch and my Sept order which might get a vin in next few weeks has a hitch.
thanks Slave1, the 2nd grey one in inventory from last night has a hitch but is LR so I’ll stick with my RWD options. I’m happy now I have more certainty for Q1 delivery
Yup the 5K grant disappearing (on top of general Tesla price increases) has certainly helped LR and P model residuals.
I bought a year old (192 reg) LR with FSD in late 2020 for just over 50K. Wonder if I would lose much on it if sold it privately.
While I look enviously at later M3s with the wireless charging, power trunk, external speaker etc etc I think I’ll stick with this one to see if FSD amounts to anything in Ireland over coming years … I wouldn’t pay for it myself but kinda got it for free at that price and would lose it if sold the car.
I would expect pickup at the end of February if its on-board Grande California / Hyperion Ray. Pickup dates I have seen are 18th to 25th February at NVD in Baldonnel
Correct. Roughly 100kg heavier, 0.5 seconds slower to 60 but about 7kwh more pack capacity on these new RWD's
if buying from inventory, does anybody know roughly how long to expect till delivery\collection? I’m presuming the inventory cars are on the same boat from China as the boardsies above who’ve been given dates of Feb 25th?
Still available. here is the tech spec link

Were these the new ones with the bigger battery and slightly slower 0-60?
Defo contact service centre by email or the app on your phone with photos of both items. Assume they will handle it. If not then post or join Facebook group for Tesla Owners Ireland. If you are not getting the desired result then John Casey or another moderator on that group might lobby on your behalf. Hope this helps
Hey folks, I’m in a 192 M3. Not sure what warranty covers or not. 2 small issues - “leather” coming away from base of steering wheel, and the coat hook on roof behind driver seat is broken - these type of items covered? Am I even still in warranty for these type of items? Cheers!
Don't think any of the inventory cars in the last 24hours have had the tow hitch.
Love the styling of the EV6, but I would be a bit nervous buying a car that hasn't been proven yet. Although the warranty is excellent compared to Tesla.
did I miss any RWD with tow hitch today? Was out for the day. I just snapped up the last white RWD there as a hedge against me not getting allocated my white RWD with tow hitch in Q1. Strange buying experience but I’m confident it’ll be worth the patience. I test drove a lovely ev6 today in yacht blue in gt line spec. It would defo be my 2nd choice but BMS is not there yet vs Tesla and I see multiple reports of coldgating where people can’t hit the headline charging speeds despite long motorway drive before and navigating to charger. I’m sure it’ll be sorted out by recalls but still
Spoiled for choice:
Thanks! Must have missed it, seems to be gone now 🙁 Reminds me of trying to book a PCR test after Christmas
grey there now
Was in the pop up store in Mahon this morning, was told this shipment in February is the biggest they've had yet at 600~ cars.
Met a lovely owner outside and was chatting to him for ages. I did not know that the car automatically lowers the volume of your media when you open the door and I thought I must have watched every YouTube video possible. 😅
Actually, four up there now. Hoping I'll be able to nab a grey one if it appears.
White rwd with sports wheel in inventory now.
