How do you have a functioning society? You shoehorn people into boxes and tell them how the world works. The world we have now and the abundance of information will be our death knell. It's simply too easy to justify your views without any absolute authority over morality, politics, economics, ethics. This is all the calm before the storm in my opinion, it is not going to settle without popping.
Eventually one side is going to snap. Somehow it didn't happens tih Trump but it will. Perhaps however the splintering and atomisation of society is what will actually end up preventing the worst outcome materialising.

Lenny Bruce had a particularly funny bit about racist and bigoted bywords used for certain people which i wont be able to repeat here. Basically using all those words to sum up the people in the crowd. His take was that if everybody just used these words all the time they would become meaningless. A very sophisticated form of humour back in the day.
The thing is that nobody is pushing anything racist, bigoted to the side by complaining about it. They just think they do. Things will and have changed over time, incrementally. Just because people cant say stuff doesnt mean they wont think stuff..

The second Rogan centralised his podcast with Spotify was the second the podcast died in the form we all know it. He will be censored now for good and will be extra careful with his guests and words.
