No they didn't
The US has engineered many, many regime changes and coups across the globe. How naive to think their intentions are honorable.
Why were they discussing which Ukrainian opposition figures to promote in that leaked call if they weren't involved?

Are those missiles on this boat?
Yes they are
No sorry ...
Russian, French, Irish, British & American warships both outside and inside the EEZ zone right now.
Oh, and the fishermen who my money is on.
Edit: Dunno if warship is the correct term for our ship 😂
Fingers well and truly planted fast in those ears huh?
How many people on here would be willing to fight a war for Ukraine? Not many I would imagine. Ukraine won't be allowed into NATO, its simple as that. The line has been drawn and If the west want a war they can simply admit Ukraine.
The old say let cool head's prevail will apply. Sure sanction Russia, it don't affect any of us here. It still won't change the fact that Ukraine will be a basket case of a country no matter what happens.
You can be "sorry" all you want, it's a well-known fact often admitted by the US themselves.
I'm starting to feel like Gatling and Yurt are just trolls. Here they are every day determined to stand by the US in spite of how every piece of evidence goes against them, they just want the attention, to be the oddball.
There is zero reason why Europeans and Irish people especially would have any sympathy for the latest US aggressions in the region or hostility against Russia, especially given how badly Irish agriculture has been decimated by the sanctioning war initiated by the US.
Even the Associated Press are directly questioning the US's motives and evidence now. I can only think anyone still trying to cling on to defending the US here is either just plain dumb or a flagrant troll.
@animalinside I'm starting to feel like Gatling and Yurt are just trolls. Here they are every day determined
You make 2 posts and Think your here everyday ,are you confused which account you signed in with 🇺🇦
"Source: Trust me bro!"
Right, you have a 'continuum' of truth from the press. lol
The reality of the situation is that with Russian troops and separatists on their territory Ukraine can never join NATO - as in NATO would never admit them since it'd commit them to an immediate war with Russia. At the same time NATO cannot say that officially (for many reasons).
As for Ukraine being a basket case - it certainly has a lot of problems but if they can avoid more conflict then things are looking up for them. One of the silver linings in losing so much territory in 2014 was that they also lost a lot of pro-Russian voters. This broke the fine balance that had existed in the country before then. The constant see-sawing of the country between pro-western and pro-Russian administrations is over. The brings its own stability. The country is becoming a hub for a lot of Tech companies and Ukrainians themselves are the largest external labour force in the EU.
no squirming here, like I've said numerous times if you want proof, have a look back through your own posts...I don't need to repeat what others have said, just to give you another opportunity to not answer, shrug off, or resort to slagging about... you've been proven incorrect numerous times, you just won't acknowledge it.
Still not a shred of evidence just bluff and bluster.
nope, plenty of evidence of your garbage and dodging through the thread.
it wasn't like the Ukraine have actually requested Western assistance numerous times or anything like that.
There won’t be Any Nato or US troops on the ground fighting in Ukraine.
Nobody wants a War with Russia or the US, their would be massive losses on both sides and it could escalate massively in no time.
If Russia does go in then their will be weapons sent to Ukraine, any country that does go in will probably be going off their own back.
The likes of Poland and the Baltic states would be more inclined.
Sanctions and the like will be what will happen if it does escalate between Russia and Ukraine.
The Ukrainians become Kurds du jour. It's great when you can get another country to die on your behalf and forward your own geopolitical goals at the same time.
Decent guide to the main "Siloviki" who surround Putin

A continuum across a range of countries, yes. Can you grasp a concept that has more than 2 features??
Nothing new from Russia ,they have been claiming massacres , mass Graves and genocide of Russian population of Ukraine , Zero evidence is Ever provided ,
Reports are regularly broadcast on Russian Media channels telling Russians the separatists can't hold out for much longer with constant heavy artillery coming from Ukraine , again zero evidence shown no photos or videos of these mass artillery assaults ,no damage, nothing
Russia has been warned that a major NATO-supported attack by Ukraine is imminent, according to State TV in Moscow.
It comes as Russia continues to pour troops and heavy military equipment into areas on the border with Ukraine.
The warning claims that the attack will be on the Pro-Putin region of Donbas which is currently controlled by rebels.
US intelligence previously warned that Russian secret services are preparing a fake video showing staged explosions and fake corpses.
This is allegedly to be used as a pretext for Vladimir Putin to launch war against its neighbour.
It is unclear if the concerted warnings across three staunchly pro-Kremlin TV channels in prime time evening bulletins was part of a Russian propaganda bid to engineer a “casus belli” - an act to provoke or justify war.
Into area's that border Ukraine. I think you need to look at a map lol
RTE is posting garbage here, really disingenuous nonsense. No evidence whatsoever the events are connected but doesn't stop RTE...
'The live-fire training, carried out in one of the most radioactive places on earth, came as warnings swirl over a potential Russian invasion'
Although once more isn't it interesting that the Ukraine government has to tell Western Imperialism to grow up and calm down...Of course, they could be making this up too!
'Some Western leaders insist the threat from Russia's massed forces is real and urgent, but authorities in Kyiv have cautioned against stirring "panic". Ukraine's defence minister Oleksiy Reznikov played down the likelihood of an incursion by Russian forces sent to Belarus for joint drills'

I know the map unlike.....
US and Russian don't really talk, as there is no trust in those words spoken. Trump kept it simple with Putin, of course everyone claimed Putin was making a puppet out of him, but Putin and North Korea were the ones kept sweet under Trump
The US has never had any problem talking to people they class as dictators it's only those who threaten their interests they take issue with...
As you say, the departure of the ethnic Russian Crimea from Ukraine to Russia proper has some political impact to Ukraine itself. But I don't think it settles the ethnic conflict in Ukraine. If anything it inflames it. Beforehand, the Russian ethnic group could think they had a role in the governance of Ukraine. As you say, now without the votes from Crimea, they are locked into a permanent minority status in Ukraine.
This is not a recipe for stability.
This is what people I think miss - the Ukrainian conflict is not a Russian invasion of Ukraine. It is a ethnic conflict between Russians and Ukrainians in the territory of the post-Soviet Ukrainian republic. It is no different to the ethnic conflicts caused in Africa by borders drawn arbitrarily by colonial powers between ethnic groups. Not necessarily a problem in the time of the Soviet Union, but certainly an issue when the EU/NATO demands Ukraine choose between them and Russia.
Finland and Sweden won't join Nato if things stay the way they are. If Putin does something silly in Ukraine, then they might. Support for membership in Finland has gone up, and the military is already fairly compatible with Nato (PfP membership, US fighter planes - currently F-18s but F-35s already bought) - and then Russia would get an actual long border with Nato. There's also potential financial consequences for Russia, there's a plan to build a new nuclear reactor supplied by Rosatom - if things escalate then that plan would likely get cancelled.
It also seems likely that should either Finland or Sweden apply for Nato membership, the other would apply at the same time.
