Saudi event is on the Asian Tour.
So will this Saudi event be on sky ? Wouldn’t mind seeing Lowry this weekend
It is on freesport and premier 1
Freesport? Is that free?
Yes. Hence the name. Channel 422 on Sky. They've a website also Home | FreeSports which you can watch also
Asian tour.

Field for the event. Some field
Out with gmac and finau in round 1
2 under par 68 for Shane this morning. Currently tied 19th.
It's only 900k for the winner, with considerably more on offer at Pebble on the PGA Tour this week.
How much do we reckon the appearance fees are? They're obviously on a gradient with DJ already picking up far more than the winner's cheque before even hitting a shot.
What about Shane? Appearance fee more than the winner's cheque or not? I've read he signed a 3 year appearance deal with PIF after winning the Open when his exposure and profile was at its highest.
Find the appearance fee thing fascinating, do the players ask each other how much they got? Did Sergio get more than Stenson, Westwood? How do they decide, maybe they give the really top guys more than the winner's cheque and then guys like Fleetwood, Poults etc, a few hundred thousand, would that be enough to tempt them?
And then the more ho-hum guys like Manassero who's leading, would he have received anything? Just happy to play for the money and ranking points legitimately on offer through the Asian Tour?
report in paper Poulter was offered 30 million to sign up.
30 million in what currency???
That's for the new league idea though, I wonder what he got just to play this one tournament
Rory turned down 2.5 million to play this tournament a few years ago.
Lowry into top ten in Saudi
Hope it's not a familiar pattern again this year, Shane is 6 shots behind leader after first round of Honda Classic. It's happening too many times that he is 6 - 10 shots behind after round 1.
He's in the Top 10 now you'll be glad to know...
Something of a glass half full perspective. Or are you expecting him to win every tournament he plays in?
Only 7 shots off the lead going into the weekend.
Hard to see him win it from here but could bag a top 10.
if he plays well has a chance, those ahead of him are a modest enough bunch ,no Rahm there etc to dominate.
I think he’s in with a great chance if Berger can comeback to the pack
Hard to believe 7 years since Paddys win there
Yep ! Beat Berger in play off
No, I am not expecting him to win every tournament, but he does have a record of par or +1 first rounds where he is then 6 or 7 shots behind leader and under pressure to make the cut. Thankfully he made it this week and is going very well today.
I agree that he can often be a slow starter. Whether this is due to lack of preparation or some psychological issue is not clear to me.
When I made my comment, I had just seen his second round score and I mistakenly thought that your comment was made after the second round
He's just shot 3 under -the best round of the day- to zoom up to joint 2nd. Missed a couple of shorties too. His approach putting is excellent though.
great round that could have been better.missed some half chances coming in but did make 20 foot par putt so great effort.Cud do it if Berger collapses but its Bergers to lose as of now,
going well ! Pity Berger playing so well
think he will be out with berger ,no pressure because hes 5 back,Faldo v Norman comes to mind.
Par around this course is a grand score. But I'd take your point normally. This specific tournament was a bad time to use it as an example though.
