There is a decent selection of wines on the club card prices in tesco UK at the moment. Is it possible to get a UK club card using parcel. Motel address or similar. For example. The tesco finest prosecco is 7 gbp vs 18 euro here. I live in Dublin so I reckon 5 or 6 bottles of that would cover the petrol.
Actually this is quite easy. Just side load UK app on android and sign up with email.
you don't even need to sideload the app - sign up on the website, you'll get a Clubcard number you can add manually to Google Pay.

I got, among others, Wild Turkey Rare Breed, Four Roses (love Four Roses) and Knob Creek and saved quite a bit overall
Four Roses is one of favs. Can’t understand why it’s so hard to get in Ireland.
Tested the water with my last order will have to get through this haul before trying again.
They seem to have a very good selection, some Scotch that I regularly buy at good prices.
What was the delivery speed like? And packaging?
Still waiting on mine but landed in Ireland today and I ordered on Monday night. Expected delivery is Monday so matches their 5-7 day delivery.
Packaging was very good - I ordered 5 bottles, came in a pack of 6 with one chamber stuffed with brown paper. One of my bootle was too big with the cover so they packed the cover very neatly separately, threw in a sample bottle of a liqueur
Ordered on 13th Jan (Thu) with a estimated delivery of 19th Jan, recieved on 19th Jan (Wed) - with an email everyday on the shipping status
Considering I ordered it late on Friday and I had it this morning I’d call it bang on delivery time.Packaging is top class, saw I guy on twitter made an improvised wine rack out of it.
RB12 is €43.99 on that site! Even with shipping, if you add a few of bottles of Gordons for €13.99 you're saving a few bob. Will be making an order in a few weeks I think.

I've ordered 4 bottles of good Scotch - total saving is over €80 v Celtic Whiskey Shop. In fact, given current exchange rates it would be difficult to beat the prices even buying in the UK.
Mine came this morning, right on schedule. Well packed box, prompt delivery and great prices. Happy all round!

This stuff is £9 all the time, and is one of the nicest proseccos I've ever had. You will get it on special every now and then....6 for £30 or £36. Better than a €80 bottle of champers I got one Xmas.

Same here UPS, they just left it on the doorstep but @ 27kg not many would be pinching it!
It's good to see people getting value from this service.
However apart altogether from the possibility of theft in leaving drink on the doorstep it may fall foul of under age drinking legislation.
According to the minister in this link it is illegal to deliver drink without ensuring that the recipient is over 18.
AFAIK is it not illegal to import it in the first place? It won't last long so i'll make the most of it and take the hit when it happens. Then it will be up to the border every couple of months to visit the relatives a bit more often!
Seems to me that it's under the radar for now.
Nothing will get it closed down quicker than a few kids getting their hands on a consignment and ending up pie eyed.
I'm not trying to be over negative but you'd think UPS would do their due diligence.
not sure if it was mentioned previously. But from what I can dig up on google importing is fine and legal but they "should" have vat and excise duty added. Revenue seems to back this up as do the irish times article. Glad that people are getting it through though :)
That's what happens when you tax the hell out of alcohol. People find other ways of getting it cheaper. Government treat us like underage drinkers. What do they expect?

I’ve so much booze at home I think the missus would have a canniption if another batch arrived! But to be fair I also probably need to give the aul liver a break for a bit so I’ll hold fire for now and hope it can still be got in a few months time
