They are not selling this in the UK, will they sell it here ?
From €17,890 in Europe ( assume it would qualify for the €5K EV grant here if it was sold here ? )
Its just hit Italian markets and is the forth best seller this month, apparently its price could be halved by Italian incentives according to this article:
https://cleantechnica.com/2021/07/29/italys-ev-sales-keep-growing-in-june-as-dacia-spring-hits-the-market/
This is perfect if you just need a runabout and dont care or your not a car nut.
If they're not selling it in the UK, I really doubt they're going to do an RHD just for Ireland.

Interesting link. Hadn't seen this before
Should it have the same price here the grant would be only 3.5k.
FYI, the "Queen" (not actual name) is based on an existing car in China known as the Jiangling GSE. It's made by a Renault JV company - JMEV.
thanks.. looking at the table Dacia would be incentivized to spec it up here to €20,001 and sell for €15K
LHD? Not a chance.
Dacia Spring is the best selling EV in Italy.
It may not be well built but it shows there is a market for inexpensive EVs in Europe.
its a Dacia.
Its Horrible
In your opinion. The brand has a reputation for reliability and delivering cost effective motoring to the masses. I know a few people who have them and like them. They are holding there residual value well also.
Superb input...
Completely not reflected in sales.
Ha I like it.
I wouldn't buy one myself, but more competition on the lower end can only be a good thing.
If they release these here they`ll sell by the bucket load - that was a comment I made back in January 2020...There was a thread about Dacias EV about a year ago but I cant find anything on this new site!!!
I still stand by that looking at Italys sales figures.
This is the thread you're looking for: https://www.boards.ie/discussion/2058037264/dacia-ev-15-000-250km-wltp-range/p6 :)
I think it would sell quite well here but nowhere near €13k. More like €20k.
Its still a Dacia. There will always be a cheaper end of the market that will find them attractive but they are horrible
We have a Dacia sandero stepway petrol as a second car that the wife uses, its fairly new (201) (our main car we have gone full electric a couple of years now, never going back!), id have to disagree about them being horrible though!
I think we paid around 17k or less for it and we find it a great car, superb for the money. drives fine cheap to insure and tax, plenty of space inside, has air conditioning, cruise control, sat nav, android auto ect.., sometimes when im driving it i wondered why would anybody want more, its a great car for the money. definitely cant knock it for value, especially looking at the prices cars at the moment!, if they brought the ev version over here it would be a great little car, especially for a first ev :)
I was in Paris for the last 5 days and the amount of EV's over there is amazing, even the busses are either Hybrid or 100% electric. Charging points on every second street (lots iced unfortunately) but spotted a Dacia Spring charging beside another EV I've never heard of before. Smart looking little city car.
And the award for the most unergonomic charging position goes to Dacia.
what’s with the big flap that lifts up , why not flip down or across?
I miss nose charging.
The other car is an Aiways which really isn't a bad car but a bit expensive and slightly slow to charge
Great little car. I hope they bring it here. Sell it for 15 or 16 thousand and it should do alright.
We need these. Cheap a to b cars that people can consider.
Exactly the same as the original MG ZS, with the badge area lifting up in the same way.
The Spring is my kind of electric vehicle - electric and won't break the bank. Why have Dacia/Renault decided not to make an RH version? Government always harping on about e-vehicles. Here is a cheap one, but doesn't seem to be coming to these shores. Are Dacia not receiving any encouragement from the government here and UK too?
Was behind one yesterday, I didn’t realise that they were so small I expected them to be the same size as a duster. But my god my like a bambino
they have a really poor NCAP rating.
https://insideevs.com/news/555524/euroncap-cynical-affordable-poor-safety/
Doesn't look that small but a small car all the same.
Lower and a narrower than the Fiat 500
I mean I wouldn't buy anything other than a 5-star rated car on principle, but remember too that the EuroNCAP ratings have changed significantly over the years.
I didn’t think they had been launched yet, last i read UK was hoping to get them in last qtr of 2022
I’m in Bucharest at the moment. So a good few of them around
you can rent them like gocars https://espark.ro/en/
