Hey I'm looking for one of those devices that attaches to an android phone so I can play Xbox games on my phone.
I see a bunch of them online, but I'm wondering if people will recommend a good one?
I have a RAZR Kishi and whilst it is a brilliant bit of kit, esp if you are carrying it around with you as it is easy to stow.
It does have some drawbacks. I use magnetic charging cable and tips. The tip needs to be removed before fitting the controller. The controller is comfortable but, size can be an issue. Large phones can be a tight fit I have a Poco F2 pro and it fits, barely, and only if the bumpers are removed from the Kishi.
That said, once those foibles are known and accounted for, it is a great piece of kit. If the made a version that doubled up as a BT controller it would be an ideal jack of all trades to swap between my phone and Nvidia shield.
Have a Kishi too and delighted with it.
I use the RAZR Kishi too, love it,works perfectly on Galaxy s21 plus
Cheers guys
Any alternatives to the Kishi? The Pixel 6 Pro is apparently a very tight squeeze.
Is anyone using it with a Google Pixel 5? The website doesn't list it as compatible but it could be a list made before the phone launched.
Seems to be compatible?
The larger phones usually fit if you remove the rubber pads from Left + Right sides of the controller. As an example my phone won't fit the Kishi with them in place, but with them off is a snug fit.
DYOR of course.
The Kishi is great, thanks. Playing Fallout 4 on my phone is pretty epic.
Just stacked up my GPU subscription and looking to take advantage of the cloud gaming. Is there any difference apart from branding (and price) in the Kishi android version and the Xbox branded one? Xbox branded one seems to be a bit more expensive.
I'm not sure, but the one I have has all the appropriate Xbox buttons.
Both look near identical but I think Android one has the House icon on the home button and Xbox one seems to have the official symbol. Might a couple more difference but hardware wise they look identical. Might chance the android version here. Its quite a bit cheaper than Xbox branded one

Kishi arrived today. Only had a quick game of Forgotten City so far but very impressed with it. My broadband is only about 30mbps so I get refresh lines but its perfectly playable. Controller makes a huge difference.
Apparently there is no difference, I think someone confirmed this in the thread.
I got a kishi in the post yesterday. Doesn't seem to work with my pixel 6, the light doesn't come on when I connect USB, and pass through power doesn't charge phone either. I tested quickly on my sister's oneplus and same issue. I assume there's nothing obvious I need to do to switch the yoke on, or does it sound defective?
Theres no light on my one. It just starts working when you plug it in, you can even control the phone's menu using it.
There seems to be a Kishi v2 that doesn't have the same clamp design as v1 and might be a better fit for the larger Android phones. Your mileage may vary (link)
I have the v1 and use it with a OnePlus 8T
