I have no problem with differing opinions, and am quite happy to debate the pros and cons of anything, as I've done on this subject in this thread already. It's the flippant one liners that keep getting thrown in which can be grating. No specific criticism, no effort to discuss, no interest in conversation - just yet another little dig when the subject was already done and dusted and the thread had moved on. (not entirely sure what your own post contributes to anything either.)
Be interesting to see what Ken says about the ridiculous Liverpool pen on tomorrow's pod
Why interesting? Clearly shouldn't have been awarded, unlikely he will argue that it should have.
For me...not for me
Something i've only just noticed on the new boards, how come everyone regardless of post numbers has only one star?
Ironically the only thing more boring than the Man City project is listening to the lads over analyse it....I nearly dropped off listening to Ken talking about Pep etc again today
I thought it was an excellent podcast today.
Have to say I skipped it forward about ten minutes around the 40 mark. It was just too much. But I enjoyed the Everton talk.
And just like that, Isolating is ending this week... Pity.
I loved it. I've been interested in how boring city are for years. Always baffled me when they won the leagues and everyone said they were fantastic.
I generally enjoy the broad discussion on styles. Thought it was funny when he said Chelsea spurs was boring and very 2006 like. Tuchel is benitez 2.0 in my eyes.
Ah no!
I was just getting into it again.
The emails they were reading out about City I found to be a bit on the pretentious side. There's plenty other stuff they could be talking about considering how much time they gave to City last week
I listened to a few podcasts football podcast today….. they are all basically saying the exact same thing, second captains is the only podcast that actually does something different
Ah that's really annoying.
So annoying that I'm tempted to say it's bad form bringing it back for 5 minutes.
If only I didn't live by my never criticise Second Captains policy.
tbh I thought that by the second lockdown the isolating thing had run it's course and have been skipping it, spending the last few days of each run reading out all the praise was a bit cringe tbh and it really started to rely on just reading mails from ppl
on that note, have to agree that the latest football show was well below par, ken skim reading mails from listeners in a bored tone doesn't make for great listening.
also think that claiming fans are demented for seeking VAR conspiracies is fair enough if you actually do a decent analysis of the decisions, bit too much of a scoff without any real discussion on the incidents, of which plenty could and should be questioned
Nobody expected restrictions to end so suddenly, and I guess he's back gigging again..
John Terrys twitter is the gift that continues to give
Tweet deleted, what was it?
I wonder who the guest will be for the live show Players Chair. It's also a football show so hopefully someone high enough profile
John got slapped down by the Premier league. Probably related.
Grifting some NFTs. You'd think he would be well enough off. I see Luke Shaw is at it too.
It was nfts using logos from Chelsea and the premier league. But also, its called "ape kids club" and featured players like Wiliam as monkeys, with afros airbrushed on under the "ape kids club" name. The entire thing is fúcking terrible
Possibly playing Devil’s advocate.., is it not each private individuals business how they choose to make money as long as it’s legal? Same as it’s each private individuals business what they spend their money on once it’s legal?
Not sure if portraying players "of colour" as apes is really the way to go, JT.
He's not allowed to depict club logos or trophies owned by organisations who reserve image rights.
He really shouldn't be allowed to depict players, either, after all video games like FIFA xx have to pay.
But that’s not people’s problem with it is it? It’s more the nature of NFTs?
Image rights is the PL and Chelsea's problem with it. And if I was a public figure and a chancer like JT was trying to make money off my image without my permission I'd sue his arse off.
It's not illegal but hawking NFTs to dumb people is morally questionable
John Terry is morally questionable
John Terry is the beating heart of England.
