has anyone taken out a defi loan in the past? any tips for which platform to use? looking to borrow against eth. variable rates are low on AAVE, but the stable rate is 12%. How likely is the variable rate to jump above 12%?
Depends how many people are borrowing, even the stable rate can be amended depending on loan market
If a long term loan then a fixed rate would be better, for short term use variable
Careful lad. Hope you’re not borrowing to buy more magic beans….
Wtf???
Is it the same poster going on about magic beans or a few?
Wasting everyone's time reading that crap
**** off
The no-coiners always come out of the woodwork when the market is down. Best to put them on ignore
Speaking of the ‘ignore’ function, is it just something I haven’t set right, or does it happen for everyone that when an ‘ignored’ poster puts up a new comment, you still get the email notification, even though the post is still blanked out on the thread. I assume it’s one of those things that’s still a work in progress since the site migration, but if anyone could confirm the same behaviour I’d appreciate it 👍
Calm down lad. If someone’s lost their shirt they shouldn’t be borrowing another shirt to lose as well. It’s helpful advice.
Come back and call them magic beans when we break an ATH in Q3.
We won't hear from you then.
What would you say if someone was borrowing money to put a bet on the horses cause he had already lost the rent money that month.
Tomato - tomato
Well the poster might predict that it will drop below $20k in Q3 or something similar.
It could happen that neither of you would be right in your "predictions" (read "guess"). Or it could happen that one of you is correct and the other is wrong, or it could happen that you are both correct.
I'm not worried about Crypto this year. I've changed strategy a little though. My monthly DCA is being reduced by 50% with the other 50% used to build a cash position.
It's going to be a bearish Q1, and probably Q2. I suspect we'll find a bottom sometime in Q2. This is when I'm going to use my cash position to hopefully catch it somewhere around the bottom. I think the marker will flip bullish in Q3, because of the mid-term elections in the US, and Biden will not want to head into that with a beaten stock / crypto market. The feds money printer will be out in action again.
We'll probably see a new ATH in Q3 or Q4. I do think that the lengthening cycles theory that has been spoken about will play out. We might even stretch out the run until 2023. Could we break 100K this cycle, I absolutely believe we will.
Time will tell if I'm right. I'm pretty confident i will be and I'm putting my money where my mouth is. I'll quote this post after the midterms and we can have an interesting retrospective then.
Not sure, I don't get any emails from boards. You can probably turn them off.
All these magics beans could prove to be the ultimate destructor of real wealth. Get the population all whipped into a frenzy of FOMO and then destroy their investments.
Big hack happening on YouTube for one world currency
Coin Bureau?
that's one of them. loads of crypto youtubers hacked, almost looks like an inside job at YouTube there's so many affected
Multiple YouTubers, either 2fa is broken or YouTube itself was hacked
Mrwhosetheboss doesn't even cover crypto bar one or two educational vids he's done in the past
That loolaa Michael Saylor seems to losing his marbles altogether.
What the hell are you doing in this thread except to troll
Bus man paddy losty pintman Burny.
Not at all. Bringing a bit of reality to proceedings
I've seen a few of his posts in other threads all over the forums and it seems to be all he does. Wouldn't pay him any mind.
Can we get him thread banned at least? He ads nothing of value?
i get notified every time some comments on a thread i've commented on, or bookmarked, which i find very useful. until i get notifications like the ones from mister 'magic beans' on here, obviously I can do without those notifications...
anyway, i'll contact boards support, maybe it's something i've set wrong
Press the Flag button, then select Report and report them for trolling.
Surely it is a good thing to have someone being skeptical about an investment/gamble? Otherwise it becomes an echo chamber.
There's scepticism (the other thread is for that) and then there's belittling people with childish comments
Try saying negative things about a Tesla on a Tesla thread, or being a climate change sceptic on any thread. There is no useful input, just childish condescension like 'magic beans'.
Inflationary fears have set fire to several asset classes. This happened in early 2020 with fears Covid would wreck the world economy. Buffett also went long on cash then too and was issuing dire predictions. Seems he's doing it again. Maybe he will be right this time.
Any coherent arguments are welcome here. They are good and this thread is far from an echo chamber.
But it's just the latest in unimaginative posters that seem to show up anytime the market dips but then go suspiciously quiet when it takes off again.
