No, they are loose on shop floor or fridge
It's a pity theres no asda in newry. Looks like they do 30 440ml cans for 21pound regularly. Kilkeel store is tiny. Never been to the portadown one but presume that's where the good stuff is
8 cans of smithwicks 500ml cans 14 euro dunnes , always hovered around that price pre MUP . I invested in a pack today .
They're breaking the law then, which I'd find hard to believe of O'Brien's. Are you sure the beta aren't just reduced to €2 each?
Not sure I've been in the Portadown one but the Coleraine Asda is pretty ginormous (at least by ROI standards).
I find Asdas can be hit or miss for selection. The Falls Rd is a massive store but tiny drinks section whereas the one by the port is other way around.
Just curious if I was coming from Cork, what would be the best option for shopping in the North?
I'd say Newry, head for Dublin and then up M1. There's a Tesco, Sainsbury's and LIDL in the town.
Bottles were clearly shown as 2 euro each or 5 for 10. Or were the last time, i bought in O'Bs malahide
Yeah 2 each or 5 for 10 mix/match.
Keep us posted.
Ordered 4 slabs last Sunday dispatched Monday and received on Friday, 2 slabs per box and shipping €17 per box. Ordered Dark beer, Astra pilsener and jever pilsener, all tasting good.
How was the packaging on your order?
Look again, the signage says 2 each 5 = 10, no multi buy offer, its just stating how much 5 bottles are.
if they're 2 each then 5 for 10 is not an offer, it's just maths.
Your best option is staying in Cork unless you’re going to be in the north for some other reason. The savings aren’t big enough to justify a 700km round trip.
And people seem to just count fuel cost, not tyres, brakes, servicing, depreciation or the time involved.
Yeh grand. Arrived in one big brown box.
If the beers are normally sold for more than €2 then they are all on offer at €2.
It's just a promotion with 5 different beers reduced to €2.
Even with MUP as long as they don't go under the minimum price it is legal.
It's more than likely a promotion. If you buy 2 beers it won't be €4 and 3 won't cost €6.
It's only if you buy 5 that's it's €10.
O'Brien's have ran this promotion for ages.
That would suggest its a multi buy promo which would be illegal. The signage says 2 euro 5 = 10 euro, its a clever way to suggest you should buy 5 but the beers are simply 2 euro each.
Yeah I’ve been getting my 500ml bottles of smithwicks in O’Brien’s for ages now .. 2 euro each , you can buy 1 , 2 or 200 , nothing illegal at all about it , MUP or not , it’s the price to buy , up to you how many you want .
i havnt been in there in a few weeks, hoping the smithwicks is still 2 euro a bottle ! Anyone know ?
Blade machine! I paid €550 for it brand new with two kegs of Moretti! I’ve seen them slightly used for 375 on Facebook!
Cool machine I've fancied one for ages, where do you buy the kegs ?
I buy them just over the border for €41, available in Dublin about €50 . Each one holds eight litres roughly fourteen pints.
2 slabs arrived this morning - no hassle.
Wher can they be bought in Dublin? Thanks for the info
The machine or the kegs?
Nice price for Coors drinkers in Tesco in the North. It was handy enough to sign up for the clubcard
I was thinking kegs but both really??
