Ask anyone who was on that plane how they felt. It's no place for being drunk and risks the lives of those onboard. That flight would have departed around 11am from Dublin, pure gobshite drinking on it. If he was on medication that makes him an even bigger fool.
They need to clamp down on this. An aeroplane is a confined space, it intimidating for passengers because you cannot just cross the road to avoid someone acting the maggot,
Above all, they need a proper international no fly list, don't keep him at taxpayers expense in some prison, but do ban him from all flughts everywhere for 20 years. It is no good Delta banning him and Aer Lingus flying him. When they do deport him, it should be on a ship.

This is one problem with flying, you never know who is going to kick off and there's no escape. The crew must be demented with idiots like this.
He will not get 20 years. I don’t know much about him but if he has previous for scumbag behaviour I hope the American system gives him a bit of a frightener because the Irish system never does.
The maximum sentence might be 20 years but that doesn’t mean he will get 20 years or anywhere close to it. The minimum is a fine.
He’s made a tit of himself for sure, but does he really deserve 20 years in prison? Or his career taken away from him? Punishments are off the scale, it’s ridiculous.
I think what makes the story interesting is he's a young Irish lad who might get a crazy sentence for basically losing the rag while drunk.
I mean, he definitely deserves punishment but the newsworthy part is the length of the sentence.
I'm also curious as to who this guy is. I read that story this morning and the name didn't mean anything to me. Googled him there and found his twitter page and looked like he was heading over to play as a kicker in a college football team. Was he an anti-masker or something? I couldn't see anything like that on his twitter page anyway. Some fool. What a way to ruin your life in one fell swoop.

I googled his name and found a guy with his name wearing American football gear… appeared to be in the team…. After this I hopes it’s “was”…. Hope they throw the book at him… scummy behaviour… threw a can at a lads head, messed with cap on a pilot who tried to calm him down and proceeded to threaten him… deserves no sympathy
