It's a nice house, but prices seem to be random all over the country.
I am no longer able to decide if €125,000 is an okay price for that or overpriced by about €45k..
Completely overpriced!
I thought so but was guessing. How much would that normally go for? Is it near anything?
Swimming pool would no doubt need some remedial works, if not relining completely. But would make for a brilliant summers days!
"Oh captain my captain!"
If I was a lotto winner and was keeping a place in Ireland I'd like that. But have a sneaky suspicion I'd be spending the purchase price on up grading it to modern standards.
There a lot of damp showing on some of the ceilings.
It's probably 20 mins to longford town, but that's not necessarily a good thing 😂
In all fairness who’d move there?
all I hear about Longford is troubling travellers constantly feuding
Sorry for looking at it now🙄
Wonder what decade it was last filled with water?
With every summer having a hose pipe ban lately, you'd get one cold week before the proper weather, or one alright week after, but covered in midgies!
Re: house is Smear, I'm getting vertigo looking at it, inside and out... it looks all over the place to me!

Nice house in many ways, but there'd be a strong smell o'shite off them fields for several weeks of the year. My attention was drawn to two things, one positive, one negative.
In pic. 38 there's an ingenious method of storing Christmas lights.
But what's with the shower and WHB in pic 24? I like to save time myself in the morning with a very quick shower and wash, but I never thought of this piece of brilliance.
I wonder was it once used a a work from home hairdressers?
Elephantiasis of the nutsack?
Handy for a bit of waterboarding foreplay.
Smear, what a name for a house. I wonder if the houses either side are called Sluice and Shart
for someone that was bedbound?
That's the name of the townland, I presume.
Some strange showers and steps in bedrooms. Cosy
Excellent pantry. 😋
A lovely little house if you got that for 80k you'd be delighted.
Made sure to get the bottle of Bollinger in the photo as well🙄
Bedroom in 50/68 really does it. What are the steps..
That sounds right. I think there is another sink in the bottom right corner of the pic. So they shoved a bed in to say "this is a bedroom". Underestimating buyers ability to make that leap themselves or am I giving buyers too much credit?
Pic 14 of Kildare house: in the home office corner. Is that the wall hacked out to put wiring in??
(Also its a massive house. Why work in the corner of your sitting room?)
@tea and coffee
So they only have to heat certain rooms during the day maybe? I'd imagine the heating bill would be large enough.
I noticed that corner, it looks like a pipe or wiring alright, very odd.
That Usk house... I reserve my right to be judgemental about anybody with a house as nice and big as that, with as much cheap Ikea furniture as they do. Because I've got at least 5 of the same pieces of cheap Ikea furniture and I'm broke AF.
What were they thinking of with this bathroom. This bathroom does not fit with the house at all - its like they ran out of money and decided to rip out the bathroom from grannies house and use that or bought it cheap on some website. Its awful - from the 70s or 80's.
What the hell kind of house of horrors is this place?! Pictures 16 & 17.
Jaysis that is grim. The sellers would have been better to rip everything out - at least then someone could see the potential.
Phone and electrical sockets in the bathroom. Leather torture bench complete with neck brace and chains. The dryer rack you see on the ceiling of the Kitchen was supplied free when you bought an Aga cooker, back is the day. Looks like the house still uses old 15a sockets. Expensive parquet floor and banisters etc. Looks like a good few bob was spent on building the house and little or nothing since.
Jeebus. Looks like a house in rural Russia from the 70's. Single glazed too I think. It would cost a fortune to bring that up to spec.
