Dunnes.
Jack Daniels 200 ml (naggins) €7.
A 700ml bottle is €34 but if you pick up 4 naggins you get 800ml for €28.
I was in Portadown and Craigavon yesterday and went into Asda, Sainsbury and Tesco. Just starting to notice drops in their prices after the our MUP Day increases. Best value appears to be the own brand spirits. Please dont compare with top brands. They all sell 1.5 litre bottles of whiskey, gin, spiced rum and vodka. Prices are £22.40 - £23.85. That works out at just under 18 euro a litre and if its got their name on it it will not be terrible. Sainsbury in Craigavon selling unleaded petrol at £1.37 equal to about 1.64 euro, that will help.
Maybe the North is like here used to be. No real deals on beers to be had through January and February but should see starting around the bank holidays in March and April.
January was always a lean month here pre MUP, was always worth stocking up in December
....
There's no great offers on tesco.com, asda.co.uk and sainsburys.co.uk but as you say, it's a lean month. They usually have good offers on the usual bacardi, smirnoff etc.
Had this before. Recommended.

Is this a deal now? Or just real life?
Birra Moretti 12 x 330ml bottles for €16 in Supervalu.
Not a bad price I suppose for a decent beer in comparison to other prices on the go now , before MUP they were always around 12 for 15 euro anytime I was looking for them .
SuperValu had them 12 for 12 for a few days offer in the run up to Xmas .
Hi. Any simple way to get s tesco club card uk. Not techy minded 👍
I suppose the war is over and we lost.
We have to do the best we can now with what we can get.
You could always console yourself with the thought that 12 bottles of beer would cost about €60-€65 in a pub.
That's exactly the way I look at it now.
You can sign up on the Tesco UK website using a UK or NI post code i.e old parcel motel one or look up a hotel or shop address and use that post code. Then they will email you a virtual clubcard. I then downloaded the stocard app. It's an app that lets you hold all your loyalty card details on it. All you have to click on add card in the app, pick Tesco as the company and instead of scanning the barcode on a card (because you don't have a physical card to scan) click on manual input on the bottom of the screen and key in the card number from the email. That will generate a bar code that you can scan from your phone when you are in the shop.
Costcutters Clonshaugh cans of Bud, 1.75 and turborg 4 pack 5.50
you can add the virtual card to Google Pay as well.
That bira Moretti is crap though. It's the s**t that is brewed in the UK and not imported from Italy. Horrible in comparison. The 660ml bottles of Moretti are usually imported.
Isn't that the same price as a slab or is it because you are ordering a beer that would be even more expensive here now?
I'm definitely interested - might get a few of the lads together and order a few bottles and cans up to the allowed amounts and see how it goes.
It's the beer. But I'd rather order in the Krombacher or bitburger than pay 40 quid for a slab of heineken. Much superior taste.
Agreed - I ordered a slab of Holsten Pils and a slab of Paulaner Munich Helles. Worked out at €76 including delivery (so €1.60 per can). My order is currently with UPS in France , ETA Monday 🤞
I see this crowd took out a full page ad in the Northside People this week, they are in Jonesborough...

Been there when McGeoughs don’t have blade kegs of Moretti in their cool room, they’re about a mile past McGeoughs into Jonesboro. They’re a bit more expensive for blade kegs, but not sure how they compare for anything else!
Price list!
Any reccomendation on the Blade? Where's best to buy nowadays...
I remember trying to look it up and seems just going up North is best?
You'd be better off tipping up to one of the supermarkets. Their prices aren't great to be honest.
Sainsburys have 30 cans of 440ml Heineken for €33:40.
36 cans of Coors Light for €38:40 and so on.
If your bulk buying you may as well do it right.
I go to McGeoughs which is 20 metres over the border and 16 minutes from my house in Blackrock in Louth. Blade kegs ( Moretti ) work out at €41 which has increased lately due to the strength of sterling. Heineken a bit cheaper, Puntigammer around the same as Moretti! I also bought a keg of Lagunitas IPA which was a bit more expensive but I had to lie down in a darkened room after drinking that! Dublin prices around €50 for Heineken!
Thanks for that! Not bulk buying at the moment! Someone gave me a lot of free beer recently, and I’m normally just buying blade kegs. I ring them up the previous day to make sure they have chilled kegs. If I was bulk buying I’d go to the trouble of going to Newry. I’m still trying to find San Miguel at a good price!
Can i ask what dispenser you use? Im interested in getting one.
Even though northern supermarkets may beat these prices there are still some substantial savings to be made, particularly if you like magners. Its half the price.
Have 20 boxes of coors lights 20 bottle pack @ €18 a box and 20 boxes of Corona 12 bottle pack @ €15 a box. Mayo area. If anyone wants some before I return to shop.
OBriens still have the 5 for 10 on beer such as Spaten, Budvar, Utenos etc.. doesn't seem to be as big a selection from intro of MUP but still good in my opinion.
Also saw 10 X bottles of Corona for €12.95 in Tesco. I did get 18 bottles around Christmas for €15 In Tesco, but that was exceptional value.
I presume they're prepacked units of five bottles/cans to get around the ban on multi-buy offers?
