But all the experts here have been telling us it wasn't an insurrection? I'm sure they'll be along any minute now to admit they were wrong 😉
And a new round of Subpoenas issued today to cover the Social media companies.
Two key questions for the Select Committee are how the spread of misinformation and violent extremism contributed to the violent attack on our democracy, and what steps—if any—social media companies took to prevent their platforms from being breeding grounds for radicalizing people to violence,” the committee’s chairman, Rep. Bennie Thompson (D., Miss.), said in a statement. “It’s disappointing that after months of engagement, we still do not have the documents and information necessary to answer those basic questions.”
The noose is tightening IMO. The committee are doing an assiduous job in gathering the evidence and piecing together the trails.
The stance of the GQP in cooperation? Stands in stark contrast to their wailing and brow beating over Benghazi.
Hypocrisy in action.
Adams cautioned Americans about the 2-party system of government. Today the two parties act like two American football teams in gridiron play. Winning is the only thing that matters. My party right or wrong. But my party.
Trump has emphasized this in the past. And continues to do so. Attempting to punish anyone for stepping across party lines by backing their primary party opponents. Republicans fear the Trump block of voters. And the fringe of that block oftentimes make threats against the person and family of what Trump calls RINOs.
There needs to be convictions, though, for any of this to actually mean anything. Anyone can have charges levelled at them. But if they're not found guilty in a court then the charges, in and of themselves, don't really matter.
That being said, I have no doubt that elements involved in the Jan 6th insurrection attempt were, indeed, guilty of sedition and that includes Trump, himself, who's continued lie about a "stolen election" was the seditious nucleus for the whole thing in the first place.
Some great news!
stupid watergate version 3(?) seems to be unraveling at pace.
we have the oath keepers leader and leadership being arrested for sedition and I found the tidbit that one of the oath keepers drove around the capitol building the day before January 6th very interesting. I also found Peter Navarro on MSNBC admitting there was plan and he named Cruz and gosar as part of the plan next level stupidity, because any seditionist worth their own salt knows admitting it in public isn’t a wise move. We then have the fact electors from I think it’s six states who somehow managed to find the same template for their fact certificates. I found that interesting.
They’ve yet to arrest the person that caused all this.
I see 45 is in arizona, spreading more utter bullshit.
Guest of honour, the pillow guy.
**** pathetic
Seems that some of the J6 Insurrectionists, after having invaded Speaker Pelosi's office, the next day called to ask her staff about items they'd left behind like purses and phones. The staff handed the calls off to the police, who got their names, addresses, phone numbers, etc. with a promise to 'be in touch.'
You can't make this stuff up.
Incredible that this guy is the current bookies favourite to be President after 2024 election.
Very dark forces at play in every respect to allow this to happen.
The best people.
Not satire

Matt Gaetz's ex-girlfriend apparently being granted immunity in the sex-trafficking investigation into Gaetz. As it said in the article I read, investigators don't offer immunity unless they know what they're going to get in return.
Also, not Stalin according to most experts.
He’s just telling them what they want to hear. It’s easy to check if it’s true or not, but they simply don’t want to.
I seem to recall one or two posters on here mouthing off similar nonsense?
Yep. Truth has no place in American politics anymore, unfortunately.
The Jan. 6 panel subpoenaed Rudy Giuliani, Jenna Ellis and others from the legal team that pushed false claims of voting fraud on behalf of Donald Trump.
Love to see it....
Some more info coming out now indicating that they have some very specific info about Trump being directly involved in specific acts of Fraud.
They describe where he valued his Trump Tower apartment at $327M on the basis that it was over 30,000 square feet when in fact it is actually just slightly less than 11,000sq ft giving a value more like $120M - Trump personally signed those documents.
That over-valuation was confirmed by Weisselberg in his depositions to the courts as well.
It certainly seems like they have clear line of sight to specific charges for the family directly.
Ah yes , the old "Respond to multiple pieces of evidence of criminal corruption against the guy you support with a puerile pointless meme that really makes no sense" approach.
Classic.
Wouldn't know debate if it walked up and slapped them in the face.
"You see the mob takes the Fifth," 45 said during one rally in Iowa in 2016. "If you're innocent, why are you taking the Fifth Amendment?"
I had to double-check the Trump quote, but he did indeed say that. Full quote from a transcript of an interview with Chris Hayes:
We won the state. It`s something that I contest and I`ll continue to contest it. We were up by a massive amount at 10:00 in the evening. And then all of a sudden, things closed and reopened, and look what happened. So, we have to be a lot sharper than next time when it comes to counting the vote. There`s a famous statement. Sometimes the vote counter is more important than the candidate and we can`t let that ever happen again. They have to get tougher and smarter.
As for the Stalin quote, Politifact have no source, but I found this:
I consider it completely unimportant who in the party will vote, or how; but what is extraordinarily important is this—who will count the votes, and how.

Well that's me owned, I never thought it possible
I don't know you are. First time I've ever seen your handle
Think he was taking the pi$$ out of the scutter you posted.
Well it failed because I wasn't trying to "own" him on anything. I don't even know who he is. And thats a great meme actually that perfectly exemplifies the abysmal failure and unmitigated disaster that is the Biden administration.
Thought this was the Trump thread?
A great meme, a perfect meme, people are saying it’s the greatest meme ever.
