Anyone know what is his medical exception?
The only thing you are trying to get across is that Novac is special and shouldn't be subject to the same rules as everybody else.
Get lost
It looks like Novax has a decision to make if he wants to play in the French Open
Oh lovely. The drama will roll on and on and on.
No one is going to back down from their positions, that’s for sure
I swear the French just love stirring it sometimes. Like the restrictions they placed on non-EU citizens from travelling through France that effectively forced a load of Brits to abandon their cars in the UK and fly home to their EU residences after Xmas.
Totally unnecessary, totally provocative, totally French.
By the time the French Open rolls around, there's a good chance many countries will have dropped the vaccination requirement. It's totally jumping the gun from the French, but totally in character. Maybe they're just warning him that he should get his sh1t together now if he wants to play. It was also be totally French to wait for him to get his vaccines and then drop the requirement at the start of May 🤣
it probably inconvenienced people from other countries as well. what makes the brits so special?
The channel tunnel. They announced the restriction exactly at the time when thousands of Brits would have already used the tunnel to drive back to the UK for Christmas. Effectively trapping them in the UK until the restriction was lifted.
The ban was on people from "third" countries travelling overground through France. Aside from a handful of Eastern Europeans, it was so specific that you'd be forgiven for thinking it was deliberately targetted at the British. No other country directly connected to France was affected. Switzerland's border remained open.
France has final say on who can enter its border and how. The british put themselves in the position of being a third country. You cant campaign about "taking back control" and then complain when another country takes back control.
Being banned for Tennis Match fixing doesn't match up with being banned for not taking something as the title clearly says.
Some players were out of the NBA League temporarily for some games but that's long over and they are back in (link below), so not the entire competition like Djokovic is out of the Australian Open
And even when the players were under vaccine mandate in some states they could play home or away games in other states, so they were never fully out of that sporting competition!
So actually it's what you wrote that is incorrect!
Correct and right G.
Looks like Novak allowed the bubble he lives in to mistake the mood of Australia.
Thought he could thumb his nose at the people who endured lockdowns of a serious nature, probably lift Au$ 2.5 mill and fork off home with a snigger.
Most reasonable people would feel very little sympathy with the lad, I would suggest.
Well said Brendan.
I live in Aus and have been lucky in some regardless with the way we have gotten to live but the cost has been high. Haven’t been home in 4.5 years now.
This mullet thinks that he can just swan in here and expect the public to fawn over him. I’m no fan of scomo (he is a cünt actually) but his phrase about not passing the pub test truly applied here.
Novak should have never even gotten on to the plane here
Barty looked impressive! Don't think I'd fancy Zverev to defo reach a final but his form is great. Alcaraz is great craic , forehand is one of the hardest shots I've ever seen , similar pace to del potros back in the day. I'd like to see Rafa in the mix for the drama of it but really can't see it. Terrible from Norrie today! Kinda forgot about Korda after his breakthrough, his familys sporting achievements are insane. Haha defo wrong thread about 5% I'd say.
Has Serbia declared war on Australia yet? lol 😁
it would be funny if they invaded Austria by mistake.
If you are banned for mactch fixing you are banned for the tournement just because it doesnt fit your narrative does not make it incorrect.
I used match fixing in Tennis as an example there is a suggestion that Erling Haaland could have been banned from the world cup for protesting against human right issues again not drugs.
That absolutely was the mistake. Shouldn't have been let anywhere near Australia in the first place. The fuss would have lasted all of a day or two before everyone just got on with life.
All I can say at this stage is
it's not a "narrrative" - it's what the bloody thing actually says! (putting it below for clarity again)
the whole point of the meme is the not taking drugs, along with being banned - it's not just one aspect! it doesn't even mention tennis, lots of people have been banned in different sports for different things - they don't apply here either unless it's for not taking drugs!
so guys banned for match fixing in tennis don't fit what it actually says - it's really simple to get that.
in the NBA if they are banned in one state they can still play games in away games in other states!
Like the poster boy for the NBA vaccine thing -> Kyle Irving is doing right now - can't play in New York city but is playing away games in other states.
Again - simple.
so they are playing in the NBA - by definition therefore they are not banned.
When was he banned from playing in the Australian Open?
it's a meme ffs - Australia have banned him from the whole country of Australia - unless he's going to play a match over zoom or on wii sports tennis they have effectively banned him from playing that major sporting event haven't they?
the meme didn't stipulate that the event organisers had to ban him - an actual sovereign country will do the job!
meme
an image, video, piece of text, etc., typically humorous in nature, that is copied and spread rapidly by internet users, often with slight variations.
Its not a meme its a screenshot of a tweet and fair enough I may have just realised I have misread it so I do apologise for that, but as Allinall has said he is not banned from the event he was just denied entry into the coutry so he is unable to play.
Its not a ban as he was named in the draw.
Alexander Hawke, Immigration Minister:
"I have given consideration to the fact that Mr Djokovic is a high profile unvaccinated individual, who has indicated publicly that he is opposed to becoming vaccinated against Covid (which for convenience I refer to as 'anti-vaccination')...
I consider that Mr Djokovic's presence in Australia may pose a health risk to the Australian community, in that his presence in Australia may foster anti-vaccination sentiment leading to (a) other unvaccinated persons refusing to become vaccinated, (b) other unvaccinated persons being reinforced in their existing views not to become vaccinated, and/or (c) a reduction in the uptake of booster vaccines."
___
Yikes.
For Queen and boosters.
looks like you have changed the "narrative" really only because of erroneous arguments on your part and picking up another point
I've already explained the other in reply to the other guy which covers that off
there's little value in going around on this
It's being discussed as a meme across the internet
here's a similar version but with a photo.
a meme does not require a photo under some mandatory meme law
No Glasso I changed my narrative because I made an error which I admited to, I misunderstood what the original tweeter meant and didnt realise that the twitter account was a joke account.
At the same time Its still factually incorrect as the female serbian player was deported first.
yeah.
it's a meme mate - not a rule of law
nobody is going to be making a meme about a complete nobody doubles player who is actually Czech
I hereby grant you "The last word" to just end this pain.
I would be sceptical of your knowledge in general going on previous posts but I'm going to go out on a limb here and say you know feic all about the intricacies of Serbian - Australian trade deals.
The key takeaway from all this is that Novak Djokovic was not deported because of his vaccine status but because of his political opinions based on comments he made about vaccines in April 2020...
Hey, 5m worth of trade annually buys you a lot of influence. and, yes, that is m not b.
