Start with 20k for the diveway
Well the EA does say that no expense was spared in the original build, but doesn't say what might (or might not) have been done since!
Is that a fireplace insert in the cupboard above the oven?
It does seem to be...odd arrangement.
Gorgeous site but like living inside a sauna.
edit (just noticed that there is actually a sauna (beacuse of course there is) pic 41)
The car garage almost looks like a mini fire station
Are the 2 guns in pic 10 an indication of what the area is like? 😂
Foil lined shed. For horticultural purposes I'm sure.
Its an original 'Mens Shed'....pure class
Thought some of you might enjoy this monstrosity 😄
"Enjoy" is doing a lot of heavy lifting 😁 that yoke is tasteless beyond belief.
It's desperate 🤣
I think it looks good. They even went with the look inside as well. Swords on wall, grandfather clocks etc.. Wood and stone. What's not to like about it.
That was not cheap to build inside or outside and furniture.
Sorry to drag this one back up,
but it's only 500mtrs over the hill to the house that Sophie Toscan Du Plantier lived in.
That 25 year old unsolved murder case.
Don't know if I'd fancy it tbh.
It's really worth reading the updates and additional background info in that twitter thread 😄
Hmmm, bargaining tool? 🤔
Koi fish and various reptiles compliment the exotic plant life in the bustling hydroponic ecosystem of the Chris Mark Castle's Jungle Room. The trophy fish swim in a special type of peace and solitude that only a well maintained indoor garden can nurture. A broad array of vinery carpets the natural stone clad ceiling. The atmosphere created resembles a remote cavern or cave. Sounds of a trickling stream serve to soothe the mind and body of all who meander within. Cascading from one side of the lush chamber to the other, the humidity in the air reveals the presence of the maturing healing herbs, flowers, and fruiting trees. An adjoining swim spa invites one to enter deep meditation as the plant's vibrations cleanse one's being and spirit too.
From the Chris Mark castle blog https://www.chrismarkcastle.com/post/chris-mark-castle-jungle-room There are pages of that kind of garbage. I think this is my favourite sentence "A broad array of vinery carpets the natural stone clad ceiling." So many questions.
Compare that 4bed house in Cork for 650k, with this 4bed house in Donegal for 75k, also with uninterrupted Atlantic/bog views.

Cash buyers only, looks ok from the outside, but I guess its riddled with mica.
It's a auction so they most likely are expecting more than 75k.
Another one next door to it as well. 80k AMV on that one.
A $7.9m house with 3 limestone mines!!!!
https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/2662-N-Highway-79-Elsberry-MO-63343/120856289_zpid/?
I like that one, but very few pictures for the money and expanse of it, would love to take the tour..
You'd have to pay me $7.9m to live there. Sounds like the script for a horror movie. Isolated house, in the family since it was built, sitting atop 3 (haunted) limestone mines. Chilly enough that bodies don't decompose too quickly.
Is the 440,000 sqft a typo? That's over 40,000 sqm in today's money. Is that the property area rather than the building area? Or are they including the mine tunnel area?
I'd happily live in it (for free).
The mines would probably suit some doomsday prepper. Underground bunker n'all that.
7400 sq ft according to the first pic so the 440,000 is probably the area of the land.
There's 179 acres of land, the 440,000 sq ft is the mines.
That's over 10 acres!!!
Mining sounds like an expensive way of getting limestone out of the ground? Its usually quarried.
Middle of nowhere, in the middle of nowhere.
Nearest town couple of miles away, looks grim as f*ck on streetview.
Be like having a big house here somewhere in the vicinity of Granard or Mountrath.
Middle of now where is right. And then your also stuck in America at that. Call over to the neighbour turns out he is a gun toting American get off my property with a gun to your face.
