Anyone know what is his medical exception?
No worries pal, these issues always flush out the ‘armchair generals’ from under their slates.
Eager to share their lack of military knowledge with the great unwashed.
Lookit …. No harm done all in a days work.
They won’t give a Castlemaine XXXX.
I'm drinking a cappuccino hence the froth.
No Sheilas, Kangaroo’s, Platypus or Alf Stewart to be allowed enter Serbia ever again.
All the auld war horses and experts coming out with froth on their chins.
Bottom line.
Lad didn’t comply with regulations. Tried to flash bang his way out of it
Nothing doing…..Aussies backed their people.
Deported
Good on ya Diggers.
Nobody is above the law and acting as if you think you are is a sure way to piss off Australians. I’m not all surprised with the outcome. It serves him right!
Yeah probably....they would likely be in their 80s if they are still alive....
They aren't "hiding" from COVID...they are fighting it their own way which is fair enough...and it's worked rather brilliantly if you like at how few deaths they have had.
My comment was completely tongue in cheek
They fought and defeated the Vichy French in Lebanon and Syria as well, which is not a small achievement despite what some clueless people think of French military valour.
But it increases the dissonance re hiding from covid imo.
Lots of brave Aus volunteers fought in Vietnam too.....are they afraid of Omicron?
He's not worried about the Serbs getting their feet on the ground. Australia's armed forces have a fearsome and very high reputation. Just ask Rommel and US general Vines.
"Australia's Special Forces, having proved their worth against al Qaeda and Taliban forces in Afghanistan, would be ideally suited to join any attack on Iraq, according to US General John Vines.
"If there were to be an attack and I were to be involved, I would do everything within my power to ensure that the SAS was present," General Vines said.
"I think their skill, expertise, experience and professionalism are just invaluable."
General Vines is the head of 6000, mostly US, coalition forces stationed at the former Soviet Bagram airfield north of Afghanistan's capital, Kabul." https://www.theage.com.au/world/us-general-wants-australian-sas-in-iraq-20020912-gdukyn.html
"“If I had to take hell, I would use the Australians to take it and the New Zealanders to hold it.” -Erwin Rommel."
By New Zealanders, he was referring specifically to Maori units, which I find incredibly interesting given the racial superiority attitudes the German elite were notorious for.
I'm not in the least bit worried for Australia. My point was that Djokovics behaviour and fall out could result in poorer relations between the countries. This would hurt Serbia as in their citizens being able to access Australia or at least strain diplomatic relations.
I didn't understand the reference to the Dutch at first but now I get what you're saying so fair enough.
I'm not Serbian or defending Serb actions re war
I think soldiers under a UN flag weren't allowed to intervene. The Dutch soldiers should have mutinied and stopped the massacre anyway.
Why do people treat 'rules' as supreme? There should be more conscience-following and less rule-following. Anyway we're drifting off topic...
Still makes more sense than the logic given by the immigration minister Hawke!
A disgusting incident, but at he end of the day, she's alive. Serbs slaughtered 300 people in the infamous Srebrenica incident I was referring to which those gutless Dutch mostly exhonereted themselves of.

I'll bet the Australian armed forces would love nothing better than a chance to spill as much blood as possible, "proving" their toughness.
When you see videos of the Victoria police tackling women to the ground for not wearing a mask it's very impressive isn't it?
Yes. Typical language of a Serb.
To be fair, the strong anti-vax sentiment in Eastern Europe (and reflected in Eastern European populations here in Ireland) is attributable to a deep distrust of Government generally, after decades of communist authoritarian rule which included endemic abuse of the people.
However the backlash to that of the last 30 odd years, has been a visceral and vitriolic ultra-nationalistic fervour that is every bit as mental, or even worse than the communist era.
The Serb president and Government are just as liable to that sort of bullshyt rhetoric.
Although I'm sure there's a tiny part of him worried if the serbs do manage to get feet on the ground and again show to the world what they are really good at...The digging and filling of mass graves.
I saw the Serbian President interviewed on sky, he was talking about the persecution and humiliation of one of their citizens. Strong language, short memory.
They cancelled his visa at the border, IIRC. It was Djokovic and his family aided by abetted by the Serbian Government that turned this into a circus. Djokovic prolonged the agony by appealing. Ultimately, the visa was cancelled as he was 'liberal with the truth' when explaining why he should be exempt from the requirements.
Oh no, how shall Australia ever get over poor relations with a tiny, politically impotent, economically insignificant State 15,000 kms away.......?
Scott Morrison must be having sleepless nights....
Again, its not up to him to have the final word.
The French immigration officials could refuse the Visa he needs based purely on the deportation stamp from Australia before it even becomes political. And its a foolish politician in France who tangles with the bureaucracy.
Different rules in those places atm so he can play. For Wimbledon all he needs is to isolate
I tend to see the case as idiocy on both sides.
First Djokovic should have been vaccinated and played his part as well in ending the pandemic. There doesn't seem to be a legal obligation, but there is certainly a social obligation, especially for those who are in the center of attention.
And second, if the Australian authorities didn't agree with Djokovic behaviour they should have refused him entry and a visa in the first place and everybody except Djokovic would have understood that. But playing these games as the Australian authorities did like, detention then free, then detention and deportation is also not very professional, it's just a silly game of back and forth.
It's the actions of people like Djokovic that contribute to mis-information, confusion, anxiety, lower levels of vaccination, illness and death.
Laugh emoji all you want, but you just look pure stupid.
Sensible by the French.
And was it Djokovic that killed them by not taking the vaccine? 🤣
You may laugh but when the Serb president starts condemning Australia while all right minded people cans see that Djokovic behaved like an ass, diplomatic relations between the 2 can become rather awkward.
I think the French Government will see the shyte show that happened over the last week and try to avoid at all costs. The French minister was fairly unequivocal about allowing him to play, so I doubt there will be the same issue.
No lie down needed. Thought police comment stands, regardless of your feelings towards it, as it is what the Aussie gov defaulted to when they ran out of rational arguement. French will be similar. We will have to wait and see how the us and UK handle djocovic over the summer
Won't be up to the French Sports Minister.
It'll be up to the President of France, in an election year when he is up against the lunatic left and the fascist right.
In my view, Macron's very deliberate public stance of recent week to 'piss them off', referring to the unvaccinated, makes Djokovic's chances of playing at Roland Garros far from certain.
