I feel slightly sorry for him in one way. Nobody should be forced to take a vaccine. If it were any other player who arrived at that decision through a rational thought process, followed the rules given to them by the Australian authorities, then had the rules changed and were deported on arrival, it would have been brutal.

Him behaving as he did after his positive test and lying on his visa application was beyond arrogant. He has no regard for the seriousness of the illness or for Australian law, he was basically thumbing his nose at them. If people were wanting somoene to take an ethical stand against mandatory vaccinations, Djockovic is the worst person possible to make that case.

No one is forced to take a vaccine, but no country can be forced to allow a foreigner to enter if their laws deny it.

C’mon, he contributed greatly to this debacle. Those photos of him the day after he tested positive and not declaring his travel on his application were also telling. Though they won’t say it, it is fair to assume that the Australians were dubious about his positive test in December considering he was meeting children, maskless the very next day.

My ex's Father is an anti-vaxxer. His wife died suddenly about 4 years ago and the family are obviously quite keen to keep him around for a while.
He's 67 and hugely overweight. Wouldn't entertain the thought of a vaccine in a million years thanks to dangerous lies on the Internet. 10 days ago he fell ill. Of course nobody can be sure if its Covid because he refuses to be tested or hospitalised, but all the symptoms say it is. He is at home alone now, very gravely ill with serious respiratory distress. He may survive with severe lung scarring or he may die of it in the next few days.
That's the breathtaking level of stupid anti-vax is. It'll be on his headstone, 'He Made His Point'.
