Definitely wasn’t. Why would I go the bother of posting it here if I was imagining it?
The idea that all the security in Limerick shops were profiling you and that it never happens in places like Dublin, Kilkenny or wherever is just not realistic. Thinking you needed to dress up a bit to go to a shop in Limerick is definitely something you are misinterpreting and not the case at all. I think you were just noticing it more because for whatever reason you felt uneasy maybe because you are somewhere you are not used to.
I’m sure it does happens in other places I just really noticed it more! For example; went into a Euro Express shop and the security guard very blatantly came over and stood (a few steps) behind me. I was looking for a spare charger chord for my phone so needed to do a bit of looking to get the correct one! That’s actually never happened me before. I put it down entirely to how I was dressed
man i rocked into penneys in my **** 3 piece and top hat and mother fuckers looking at me weird as well.... it aint right...
It's definitely something I've noticed happens more here than when in other places in Ireland.
Yes, the whole of Kings' Island is susceptible to flooding. No flood defences have been installed since the "monsoon" of 2014.
what's the best place for forklift training?😶
Sir Harry's Mall has flooded a few times, but that's at a much lower level. I've known several people in the Nicholas Street area for decades and they've never been flooded (being on higher ground).
Was there someone with a megaphone at Ashling Murphy vigil in order to be disruption?
There was a demo held on Saturday on Bedford Row, it was a demo against men using violence towards women.
A group of men who usually hold a rosary session on Thomas St moved their meeting to Bedford Row and used their PA to drown out the demo.
Thanks.
That is nasty by them.
As in the prayers ?? wasnt it a bit pointless then having the session, like an going to a AA meeting then going to the pub straight after
I saw some pictures of those holy joes - I recognised one of them (GC) from a previous life. He was an idiot then, and by the looks of things, he's an even bigger one now.
The lower lying areas are most susceptible. Athlunkard Street and Sir Harry's Mall, Lee Estate, Assumpta Park, Island View Terrace, Verdant Terrace and St. Mary's Park. Nicholas and Bishop Streets no.
Having those ejits against you is a sign you are doing something right
Seen Bock photo of those idiots.
Internet is slow in Cois Ghruda, Castletroy area.
Using Fritz Box.
Anyone else having issues with their Internet?
Might narrow things down if you mentioned your provider. I've a fritzbox with puretelecom. Can you log into the config page and see what the speed is reporting there?
Or just turn it off and on again. No, I'm not joking, it does work enough that it's worth a shot.
Oh apologies. Digiweb.
Yeah did a speed test. Guy on the phone was saying there is a dual frequency coming into the modem: 2.4 Gigahertz and 5 Gigahertz. Suggested to switch to 5GHz. Strangely the laptop wouldn't give me the option.
If your modem is doing both, your laptop (if quite old) may not be detecting the 5 GHZ network. There's a setting in the modem to have different names for the wifi network on the 2.4 and 5 ghz network. I'd enable that, and connect older devices to the 2.4, and newer to 5. 5 is faster, but 2.4 has a better distance.
Irish Times has a report up of someone jailed for driving offenses with an address in Clonlough Limerick.
The only Clonlough I can find is over the border in Mitchelstown. Is it an area that crosses the border or are they just wrong ?
Yes, there is an area as you leave Mitchelstown heading North where it says Welcome to Co Limerick(on the M8 and old N8) so maybe it is around there alright.
On a map it would be: 52.29782217637565, -8.187032819723726 around Kilbeheny
Thank you. Will attempt that.
You sure it isn't Clonlong. Good few jailed for driving offences from there. 😁
Yep that seems to have been the mistake. Papers have it down as Clonlough
What kind of clientale live in that Fernhill estate across from the cleeves factory ? would that be like another elmpark in castletroy type place
It's not a mistake. Clonlong Halting Site is the other location. It is always referred to by that name in print.
Edit, this was in reply to JamesBond and rev Fernhill which now I'm confused myself is that near Cleeves or out near Tesco
Seems to be a very mixed clientele, a few families and rented to individuals/groups. I'm not sure if there are any/many students renting there.
There is no Clonlough in Limerick so the papers either have the address or the county wrong.
As far as I know, mostly rented but have never heard of any issues
