I’m almost sure I read somewhere saying that you get a new OOM after the interview.
can anyone advice me on this
Thats very strange, I've never been involved either as an interviewee or interviewer in a pass/fail interview, everyone got scored. So if you came 20th after the questionnaire and did an amazing interview you have to wait until someone who came 10th and just scraped through gets placed. Odd but there you go

well going by the email you got the interview is pass/fail and you keep your original oom. Usually what happens is the tests get you an oom for being called for interview and then you get scored at the interview and get a new oom from which you get a job offer. Granted I have only sat on an interview panel for EO level
From my reading of the email you got you will be offered a job in order of how you did on your questionnaire, so you could have done a fantastic interview but be offered a job after someone who just did okay because they did better in the questionnaire. Unless of course they are only calling enough people for interview as there are positions, that may explain the small batch numbers

well look on the bright side theres a certain amount of pressure off now for the interview you simply have to pass
Yeah but being in the 400’s doesn’t help my application sadly as I doubt that number will be reached as they on,y called up to 176 last year in Sligo Region. Oh well. I wonder when does the 2023 application open 🤣……..
Hi all, Is there a way of finding out how may people were called up to certain regions in the 2020 competition, just so it might give me a rough idea of how many they may call up this time in the same regions.

I KNOW SOMEBODY WHO GOT 59 OOM IN THE TCO 2021 DID IT IN NOVEMBER,2021 AND GOT 858 OOM IN THE CLERICAL OFFICER 2022 DID IT N DECEMBER 2021 A MONTH LATER - EXACT SAME QUESTIONS ON BOTH QUESTIONNAIRE AND THE SAME COUNTY???
Far more people will apply for a permanent job than they would a temporary one, a number of those extra people applying will simply have done better on the questionnaire, there will also be current COs who will apply for the permanent but not the temporary in order to try and secure a move

Getting the same questions twice doesn't mean you answered them the same way. A few marks lower can easily result in a drop of 100+ places.
Hi guys just an update for you all. I just wanted to confirm that how you will not be getting an new OOM by PAS. I also mentioned in the email how previous candidates have told me they did receive a new OOM and this was their reply :

That’s correct, if you are successful at the interview stage you will not receive a new order of merit.
In previous competitions candidates did receive a new order of merit after the interview stage however this has changed for the 2022 competition.

For anyone wondering I emailed to find out regarding the Cork panel and they have called OOM 14 to Interview.
Thank you both for your advice, that’s a relief, yes this was the case last year.
Bear in mind that the 2020 panel ran for almost 2 years.
I placed 370's for Sligo (second choice) and 970's for Dublin ( first choice) I have not done this before so not sure what to expect. I guess its a case of sitting and waiting while working away / applying for other roles !?
Is this panel a year ?
On the booklet it states that they don't envision the panel extending beyond the end of January 2023.

Thats exactly it, put it to the back of your mind, especially considering the interview is pass/fail and they are taking through small batches it may be a while before you hear anything but hopefully the Dublin list moves quickly
So if u fail the interview your out basically ?
