Looks like the decadent Eton toff brigade have taken over Downing Street. A whirlwind of parties and booze ups (and probably other substances too no doubt).
Hopefully he takes Mogg with him, never have I hated a politician so much
Quite shocking what he's said about the Torrie leader in Scotland, what a nasty piece of work. SNP must be loving it.
I bet they held off till he apologised for the first one. Having to now do it all over again rather than double up is gonna hurt.
He says they were business meetings or that he only stayed a few minutes but I cant help but think that hidden deep in someones phone is a video of him singing karaoke topless with a traffic cone on his head just waiting to be unleashed. Or maybe trying to look like he fits in with the "common man" by shoving a firework up his ar$e
The Brits will put up with a lot...but anything that can be vaguely linked to disrespecting the queen.
These parties will surely now push Johnson out?...if the polls are going so poorly the conservatives will surely act..
From the Torygraph 😱
There's no way he will survive this, imo. The Brits love their queen, even more so tonight, after she did the right thing with Randy Andy.
I dunno - to me it looks like the Telegraph trying to shift the focus on to a party that Johnson wasn't actually at. Moving the headlines away from the party at the centre of this weeks story, onto one where Johnson is innocent and a load of other people are to blame.
The stink is all pervasive now, if his 2nd cousin held a party, it's a problem at this stage.
It's in the news, that's all that matters now. When a dog gets a reputation for barking it takes a kick every time some other mutt yelps.
Do we know that he wasn't actually at this party? Party after party from No. 10 while the rest of the UK was in lockdown is not good, especially a party on the night the queen buried her husband. The Telegraph got an exclusive here and chose to publish it. They too want rid of him, imo. Their quotes reveal it.
Downing Street staff drank alcohol into the early hours at two leaving events the night before Prince Philip’s socially-distanced funeral, The Telegraph can reveal
On the evening of Friday Apr 16 2021, Britain was in a period of public mourning.
Union flags on Government buildings across Westminster hung at half mast to mark the passing of Prince Philip the previous week
For those that didnt open the Twitter thread on the new parties story...
Have we even heard the last of it though? There surely must be even more parties at No.10 that have yet to be reported, given how regular they appear to have been.
I’d say he’s done now.
music DJd by a special adviser.
It just gets better
As I asked just above, where does it stop? Johnson and his supporters might be able to bluff their way out of this one ('he wasn't there' etc), seemingly put the issue to bed and then another story of a party at No.10 breaks yet again within a day or two.
It says in the Telegraph article that Johnson was at Chequers that night. That's why it occurred to me that it might be an attempt to move focus onto something that Johnson is at least partially on the clear on. Make the story be about this party the night before Philip's funeral. I'm not saying it's going to work as a ploy, but that doesn't stop it possibly being a ploy.
In other news looks like hardcore Brexiteer and 2019 vocal Johnson supporter Andrew Bridgen may have sent in his letter - he has tweeted calling on Johnson to resign. Laughably enough Bridgen arguably counts as a grandee/stalwart/veteran MP nowadays.
I don't think they can bluff their way way out of this one. Queen on her own mourning her husband, Uk in severe restriction rules and at the same time N0. 10 partying away. He is toast.
Turned on the evening news on Sky and Johnson wasn't even mentioned tonight. Prince Andrew getting kicked out of the royal family, a Chinese Spy in Westminster apparently, changing the covid isolation rules. Felt like they were throwing out a pile of dead cats.
The Prince Andrew thing is pretty big news though. Johnson and his cronies might affect people more, but interest always lies with the royals.
Special advisor for partying down. The other event involved the "chief spinner" Oh please god I hope that is the title for Westminster's official DJ.
Chief Spinner DJ Slack.
Also going into the detail of the booze run is sneakily brilliant. A simple booze run or a bag full of booze just wont do but a "suitcase full of booze" just sounds so decadent and 70s rock & roll. As well as that "suitcase full of booze" has a real "binders full of women" quality that wont be easily forgotten
It felt that way. 15 minutes into the BBC 10'Clock news before he was mentioned.
Trust the DUP to pick the wrong side of history yet again. But if push came to shove it could mean 8 votes in a vote of confidence.
The 'Bring your Own Booze' instruction just brings a whole new meaning to Downing Street, and the Tory Party.
This is comedy gold to those who want to make light of it. Tragic for those who lost relatives and friends to Covid at that time.
He must go and must go now.
The beautiful think about these controlled leaks is that nobody knows what the next one will contain. That makes it difficult for people to come up with excuses since future leaks might contradict them. The only thing for certain is that there will be a next one since somebody, who is very media savvy, is clearly drip feeding them into the system at a rate to ensure maximum and unrelenting negative coverage of Johnson.
Well it’s hard to be on the right side of history when your view of history is completely warped.
The way this latest party is being framed around the picture of the queen sitting by herself in St George’s chapel in Windsor is just making it worse still. On BBC radio 4 this morning the head of the Conservative party in a safe seat(the constituency is escaping me atm) that voted unanimously for Boris Johnson to resign said “the behaviour starts at the top” which is why even though the prime minister wasn’t there he’s meant to set an example.
Downing st has officially apologised to the queen now.

Sue gray is apparently investigating parties on 8 separate dates during lockdown periods.
It's a great headline. Some pretty funny responses too
Mr Cummings, I presume?
Its a pity Spitting Image isn't still on the go
Theres seemingly a hundred or so members not that small for a subversive dark group who won't name fully all their members and gobble up public money to fund whatever their agenda is.
That's what they want you to think. Core membership is a lot smaller than Johnson's majority.
It is and the new version is actually very good. It's only on Britbox though which we can't get and it also means it probably won't ever break the mainstream like the old one.
Johnson, Gove, Cummings and Mistress Patel are particularly good
Thatcher was a member of a similar right wing group, and was entered to challenge Heath as a stalking horse, expected to get enough votes to cause a full blown leadership challenge when the real challengers would throw their hat in the ring.
She won outright. It was not just her own group that supported her, but many disenchanted others - but none expected her to get that many votes. Funny business politics.
