Anyone know what is his medical exception?
Couldn't care less about the July - November figures. Anyone with basic statistical knowledge knows that they are hiding the data by presenting it this way.
No excuses for not giving us a weekly figure on the split at least. But maybe it's just not important enough to tell us? If unvaccinated were harming society as much as you believe then the numbers to prove it should be plastered on the headlines.
The numbers around the world prove it, anyone with Google and "basic statistics knowledge" can find them and see that for themselves. "They" must all be hiding the real data though 😂 Not going to derail the thread any more by entertaining your conspiracy theories.
Had no opinion on this lad before but he’s coming across as a smug two faced sneaky so and so....
I'm pro vaccine but it would be more impressive to have more recent data to be more assured that the data is more reflective of Omicron being fully dominant as that has been the game-changer on spread. some comment about what data has been unclassified as "unvaccinated" also in replies
Even the vaccine manufacturers themselves are focusing on the severity reduction aspects of the booster and not infection reduction when it comes to Omicron
It appears that he may not need to have a medical exemption to enter Australia. I bring your attention to the "Individual exemptions" section of the Travel restrictions page of the Australian home affairs web site. I have distilled it to areas that may be relevant to this case:
Individual exemptions
Individual exemptions can be requested by travellers who are not holders of an eligible visa or who are unvaccinated, holding any visa type.
You may be considered for an individual travel exemption by the Commissioner of the Australian Border Force or decision makers if you are:
You must hold a visa and an exemption to Australia’s travel restrictions before you travel. You can request an exemption online and must provide appropriate evidence to support your claims. Requests may be finalised without further consideration if insufficient evidence is provided. All documents need to be officially translated into English.
I note that this web page has been updated today
Have some latest info on QR codes, unix timestamps, database ids !!!!

Maybe Australia should give this years tennis Open trophy to the Corona and award it champion 2022.
Didnt care much for the behaviour of the Serbian fans, either. Turning up wearing Serbian military caps,as worn by scum like Radko Mladic. Turning up to support a national sports legend is laudable in it's own right but not when you dress it up with the symbols of hated and feared killers. It also demonstrates a wafer-thin respect for Australia.
If he does end up playing things could get messy at the tournament. There will be protests against Djokovic and the Serbian fans have been involved in a few violent incidents in the last few years there. Not all their fault the Croatians wound them up but they weren't afraid to to start throwing bottles and chairs. Some of them wont take kindly to any Djokovic protests.
That probably went down well with Djokovic tbf
Pretty big Serbian diaspora in Australia, yougoslavians emigrated in fairly large numbers down the years
Hope you are being sarcastic. Nobody in Ireland loves the HSE. It's not the NHS.
How so? From my limited understanding he has papers to allow him to stay and play.
That is absolutely the funniest thing I've read in a long time.
He may have but any visa offer is based on him being able to produce the documentation required and any declarations made in advance of his arrival being truthful.
If there is any sign that he is being less that truthful or any suspicion that his paperwork is in any way manufactured, he is out.
The Serbian Prime Minister has said that if he was out and about the day after getting a positive Covid test then he broke the Serbian regulations. That alone would warrant the Australians throwing him out, quite apart from the fact that he does not seem to have been truthful about his travel 14 days before arriving in Australia.
I hope he's sent home tomorrow - he thinks he's above the law.. feck him.
An updated Ros Atkins Djokovic video summary
This additional article worth a read also as covers a bit that the BBC didn't include in their summary
BBC Decided To report it with this headline with some quotes from Ms Brnabic
"If you're positive you have to be in isolation," Ms Brnabic told the BBC's Guy De Launey.
But she added: "I do not know when he actually got the results, when he saw the results, so there is some grey area… the only answer to this can be provided by Novak."
Cant wait to see him play his first game
I can sort of half understand anti-vax people sometimes say they're pregnant and are afraid, or had a bad experience before, or mixed with the wrong crowd or family with lots of misinformation. But I can't understand why he thinks all this is better than just getting the vaccine. Even if you were against it, would you not just get it to avoid all this crap with border police, lawyers, world media, impact on training.
Maybe the sort of mindset that gets you to being the number one tennis player in the world is the same mindset which drags your principles through these kind of experiences. Still though, the energy some people are putting in to going up against this is incredible when you step back and look at it.
A significant proportion of them have mental health issues/personality disorders. Gemma O'Doherty et Al.
I dated a Polish girl who was a homeopath. Her preference towards all things natural was so interweaved with spirituality it was equivalent to a strong, principled religious belief.
Very deep belief in something will motivate a person.
In fairness it looked like the exemption would be granted and he was all set, I don't think he expected so much trouble. If it were a clear no in advance maybe he'd have gotten vaccinated. He did say he would 'have to consider it' in that case.
It'll be interesting to see if he does after this is all over.
You could argue that a man in his position could have 'got vaccinated' without actually getting vaccinated if you know what I mean.
What do Australians really think?
Ha. ha, ha...
Exactly. So no need to pass judgment on him at this stage. Let due process work itself out. Until he if found guilty of something - and the Aussies are desperate to try and find anything they can - then leave the guy alone to do his job and play tennis. It's not like he's going to be boxing with sweat and bodily fluids all over the place. He's going to be standing in the open air with a good 3 metre radius all around him. Everyone needs to calm down about him.
But humans have this need for scapegoats. They project all sorts onto people like him, try to dehumanise him, attack his character. It makes it easier to do the witch hunt once you've made the person into a witch, not a human.
I don’t think he needs any scapegoats tbh. He’s shown his character by not isolating himself when he was positive.
But hold on…..isn’t he able to turn dirty water into clean with the power of his mind? I’m sure he’d be able to use the same power to not pass on the virus.
Admitting he didnt isolate after positive test result and the agent gets the blame for the travel declaration "administrative error". Oh dear.
