Anyone know what is his medical exception?
I guess he'll have to explain the context of everything there eventually won't he?
Because they are convinced they're in the right, many people don't see how extreme the personal abuse they dole out to Djockovic and unvaccinated people is.
But ordinary tennis fans and other normal people see it.
E.g. Taking a break from calling a Djockovic a **** and a rat-licker to say that he bullied younger players. If he had behaved towards younger players the way posters on this thread behave he'd have been banned from tennis.
Nope. Back to the drawing board, I'm afraid.
I never said he should not be let in (based on his anti-vaxx BS alone, that is*). But even if I did say that, favouring something that's usually the preserve of the 'right' doesn't make one a right-winger any more than your tolerance of gay people makes you a bleeding-heart liberal leftie.
*For the record, he should be subject to the same rules as everyone else. If I turned up at Melbourne airport with a dodgy exemption letter, I'd be asked to explain it further. If I then turned around and said "actually, I'm only over Covid recently, got it 2 weeks ago", they'd want to know why I didn't say that in the first place. If they then saw pics of me swanning around in public, surrounded by children while positive, they'd surmise that I was obviously indifferent to the public safety advice, rules and guidelines, and would therefore be a danger to the public. I would expect to be refused entry on that basis.
If you are going to defend Djokovic, at least learn how to spell his name write 😉
in memory of the 65,000 actual Australian citizens who couldn't even get back into their own country for over a year.
What the fook did Djokovic have to do with that?
Conflating Australia's governmental pandemic decisions with Djokovic is just projection for the sake of it.
25 others and Djokovic applied to a process put in place by the state government in conjunction with Tennis Australia and followed the guidelines of this process to a tee
This was fully endorsed by the Federal Government
If the Australians fooked up internally on dotting their i's and crossing their t's then that's their screw up
Right *
Ah now Glasso. I think everyone knows 1 isnt true. 2 is probably mostly true ,but 2 was very much the wrong thing to do. You know this.
As well haha , 1 is also bad form
What an absolute Downer.
""Covid has shone a light on the left.......They have exposed themselves to be just as or if not more nasty then the "right" they hate so much. ""
this quote is very relevant.
The win for Novak is a crushing defeat of the Australian Covid regime. Not the laws or the people but the regime and like all countries we have to look at these empowered regimes they have lost the plot, a little infused with all that power to control. We did not elect them remember they just evolved and have a little too much to say . IMHO
I've said that he should explain it.
He will undoubtedly be asked about it in press conferences at the tournament.
Who or what is Slavaphobe?
"I'm just concentrating on the tennis and my next opponent". Deflection for two weeks.
Id say you are correct here
Quote from his mum
"He was subjected to torture, to harassment and we will hear even more about what he had to go through. And of course, he fought against that system and against the government because he thought he had the right to be there with a with a visa that he got."
You couldn't make this stuff up.😂😂😂
🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨
I'm confused........how exactly did these 'regimes' come into power if they weren't elected?
Also, everyone now assumes that you think people who are pro mask-wearing or think gay people should be allowed express their love in public (i.e. the left) are equally as nasty as those who murder people in cold blood for being different (those they hate). Are you okay with that? Would you like to elaborate on this viewpoint?
I suppose he has history for not particularly caring for the plebiscites around him.
That's a very good question. It's a word that could be used for people who have a resentment for Russian/Eastern European citizens. But is not considered discrimination due to it falling outside the tiresome narrative of the outrage machine of the fringe left. (Similar to how you can't be racist towards white people)
We didnt elect tony holohan, i wear my mask diligently we are talking about the regimes not left politics or dail eireann. I saw this quote in a post just above me here and thought it had some relevance. I agree with a good bit of left politics and voted as such but they are capable of a lot of hatred towards the unvaxed, it obvious &i dont understand where the hatred comes from we are all Gods children and some dont like be forced to do things they dont like..
So does this mean I shouldn't pay my taxes?
You haven't answered my point that the personal conduct of posters on this thread is below the standard of conduct that they seemingly expect of N.D.
Is bopping someone with a ball worse than exploding with insults and swear-words, like several posters on this thread have done? Its the boards equivalent of smashing your racquet.
we are talking about mandatory vaccines and there are about 300K people in ireland who dont wish to take them. We all pay taxes its how we have the health system we have we dont pay enough !!
We didn't elect Tony Holohan, that is correct. That is why Tony Holohan does not make laws in this country. He advises the govermnet who in turn make the laws and regulations. Thats how democracy works.
I personally don't hate anyone who chooses not to get a vaccine, but I think they are misguided and selfish.
Given Serbia's recent history, that's quite disgusting. She also equated the hotel to a prison.
I don't think anybody here every needed medical attention after an insult/swear. I wouldn't never call anyone a rat licker. But Djokovic is a proven anti-vaxxer now.
It appears that Australia does indeed make medical exemptions for those unable to be vaccinated to enter Australia. Would a recent covid infection be contraindicated against vaccination?
I agree. I would accept something like 5% increase in income tax to help fund the HSE, get rid of the rot and improve services.
I don't hate anti-vaxxers either. A lot of them I come across have mental health issues. They deserve our empathy, not scorn.
