Nah would say your sweet, sure in the vetting it says to declare all offences or convictions other than speeding. And first offence so only 3 points, you don’t even need a driving license to get in so I wouldn’t worry about it
I would email them just to make them aware you received the letter. There should be an email address on your letter with your starting info about keeping them up to date with things like that. I emailed them when I got pinged for speeding. It’s not a big deal and won’t mess anything up but if they discover something at a later date that hasn’t been declared that could cause more of an issue.
Almost 30 weeks and counting for vetting to come back. Sometimes I've forgotten I've actually applied for the job. 😂
Emailed vetting for the same generic reply back.
Hope everyone had a great Christmas and New year. Here is hoping for some good news in 2022!
Hi folks, just curious how long some people waited for their medical date? Close to 2 months now since I’ve done my PCA and 3 or so weeks since I’ve done my online learning.
I appreciate the wait is killing you, but know it will come soon. I had to wait around 11 weeks post PCA to get my appointment for a medical. Think there were no medicals over Christmas and New Years, so keep your chin up and don’t worry about it, the appointment will come in due time!
Yeah I was 11 weeks for a date and then that’s a month away from when you get it. Good luck
Hopefully there will be some phonecalls this week for March start date. It will be approx 5 weeks since last offers.
Cheers boss! Aye I know it’ll come, just wanted a rough timeline! Roughly how long after you got your medical did you get a call (if you’ve gotten one yet), thanks again!
Thanks mate. Appreciate it, seems like it’ll be the next few weeks then. How long did you await on a call after you got your results, if you’ve got one already?
Have yet to get the call, but hoping for the March intake with everything having been completed!
I have everything completed since the week of Christmas so still waiting on the call. It will hopefully be the end of the month for March too 🤞🏻
They went out first week of November and December for the January and February courses so you'd imagine it would be before the end of Jan for March
Best of luck my friend! Got the medical date through this morning - so happy enough now lol
Best of luck. Hopefully you get it soon! 🤞 just got the medical through this morning!
Congrats! Pmd you
Recruitment news page updated
Couple of questions for anyone currently going through training it completed.
1. Is pay weekly or monthly?
2. Do you get food options during training and is this free or do you pay for this?
Thank you.
Have my medical coming up and looking a bit of advice if anyone who has been through it can assist…
do you list medication taken currently only or medication took over past few months. E.g I had taken Sudafed at start of December when I had covid and not sure wether to list it or not?
Just list everything you can think off.. during the medical you will be asked this question, even asked if had taken lozenges so doesn't matter how small.
Monthly pay and there’s a canteen but you pay for your own food.
Anyone received calls for March intake yet.. was really hoping to get one but waited this long what's another month.. ML 580-600
Don't think they've gone out yet, I'm quite high on the ML, 50-90 and haven't heard anything
Have you not started GV yet?
Nah only got vetting through 4 weeks ago so just waiting on a call now
Ah I see I thought you would have been in GV by now with your merit position. Waiting on vetting seems to be a big issue for most! I’m on 14 weeks atm from I sent my forms back.
I wish, just a long wait. Surprised calls haven't gone out yet, if they had someone would've broadcast it on here
Yeah long wait is an understatement! Probs be closer to end of the month.. yeah very true.
Last 3 months calls went our 16th/17th/18th of the month so looks likely to be early in the week if trend keeps up..good luck everyone waiting in hopes of a March start.
Thanks @MrChew I was referring to learning materials so that I could attempt to pre study just so I feel a little more prepared. Try ease the stress of cramming so much learning into a 21 week period, I think I’ll be ok fitness wise. I’ve been preparing for months now; would have just liked to get a jump on the educational side in these last few weeks before starting!
