Virus's mutate, and this I a very new Virus with a few strains, it's going to happen.
The vaccine doesn't stop the person from getting Covid (or any variant) it just helps to avoid ending up in a ventilator or worse. Hopefully that's her case, and she can just recover without going through the UCI.

He was provided with the exemption and the visa like the other similar players and the federal prime minister coming out saying they were fine with the process and would honour it but then the goalposts were changed because the Aussies decided that their own communicated criteria weren't right anymore!

No, he had a PCR test on the 16th December. You don't get the results immediately, it usually can take anywhere from 24 hours to a few days. So it's not that "he supposedly tested positive for Covid" that day.
He's 34 , don't think it would be much of a hammer blow to the tournament.
It was extremely fortuitous he tested positive for covid just in time for travelling to Australia as being recovered..when him and his team likely knew for months it was the only way he could get in without getting vaccinated....looks like it might back fire on him with those pics...
Also pretty importantly, a positive test on December 16 would have come too late for the Tennis Australia exemption process deadline as described to players. According to Tennis Australia documents, the deadline for applying for an exemption had been nearly a week earlier, “no later than” December 10. So he possibly looks to be screwed.

It’s insane that after almost two years of this pandemic that people are still so incapable of thinking abstractly. In other words that the concern isn’t only that Djokovic infected those kids but that those kids have infected other people in turn, who also infected other people and so on and so forth.
That being said I don’t believe Djokovic actually had covid. It seems to me that he’s a shyster rather than a completely evil ****. He’s still a disgrace though.
