Wondered if anyone has experiance using CLP recruitment to get employed. I was told to avoid by a few people. Is there small print when when they find you employment.
Hi,
What is it you want to know. I would know of them for a long number of years as an employer and once as looking myself.
Depends who you're dealing with. I've had great experience there with a couple of people who found me good jobs. I have also had dealings there with people who are quite the opposite - make promises they can't keep, never return calls etc.
Thanks. Are they a recruiter or can they employ you for an organisation under contract. Heard a number of stories (I know be careful what u believe) of GO's going into a multinational and being let go with very little notice by CPL.
Ill will be looking for a Engineering role and dont want to be on contract.
@Skyrimaddict my question is have people found them good to find employment or is there things I need to be careful about
I only have experience of them as recruitment consultants
They would offer the full range of services, so yes you could work under them as a general contractor where they pay you a day rate based off the company. This in turn means they make money on you each day, you possible look after your own tax etc.
Very little notice.
As above, they have am alright reputation as a recruitment firm, very large and the lady CEO is very active Anne. Overall a large and seemingly well run outfit, but at the end of the day recruitment is sales, and once you can make them money they love you, once you cant they dont return calls.
Ok. so it is possibel to just use them as a one of "find me a job" service and cut ties? Not to be contracted to them?
It depends on their client.
but yes they do permanent jobs aswell as contractor jobs.
That information whether its permanent jobs or contractor jobs should be displayed in the job advert I'd assume ?
Yes, for a permanent role it should. You can always ask if it’s not there
