Could be a bug. A few times when home charging it shows the car charging at 4kw per hour. I just unplugged, waited 5 minutes and restarted. Charged at usual 7kws. Has happened a friend of mine as well.
Also check out easygo. They’ve a few fast chargers around. A bit more expensive, but it’s better than nothing. There’s one in edgeworthstown coming back and mullingar too. Both just off the n4
the led glass is broken but still working and the lower casing has a crack in it. I've ordered a new LED. the lower casing seems to be stupidly expensive though so Ill probably leave it as is.
I got the id.3 booked in 24th January, Passenger side headlamp continuously fogged up and to see if they can load on v 2.3 software, the so called OTA software! me arse!
Will get them to check why the 4G signal is constantly 0 - low.
I have to pay 20 euro's for loaner id.3 lol.
MY guess is they'll take a look tell me will take 6 months to get new headlight and that they can't load the software will have to wait for OTA probably because they won't know what to do and the low 4g signal will be "normal" they won't find anything wrong.
That’s a pain!
I've never heard of any VW garage charging for a loan car. Unless the €20 is for insurance cover so you don't need to transfer yours?
The dealers know how to update the software, they've done it on plenty of cars.
Headlight may not be in stock but it takes about a week to get it in. They might order one today to have it in case a replacement is needed.
Never had to pay a penny for a loaner (Unfortunately wasn't always an ID.) My dealer even has my insurance details on file so no faffing around when picking up a loaner.. As Titian says, parts should be with dealer (if not already in stock) fairly quickly.
Do you have the part number for the lower section? Can usually buy genuine VW parts a lot cheaper than what the dealers charge here
I need to get my passengers side headlamp sorted too, going to get it done in Derry though.
Finally, after 6.5 months, I finally have it!
I got mine today, too. Delighted! It's the only red one I've seen, also.
Only one downer: SSE Airtricity ended the €675 credit for switching on 31 December...
Need a few pics lads (Or lasses)....😁
Congrats to you both..best of luck..
Lovely in red....👍️
Fair play. It looks great in the red.
In Ireland the network used is Eir, so could be bad coverage assuming your staying in the same area
I just signed up with airtricity offer today, was reluctant at first due to their Kwh prices but since energia are now charging 30.8 cent Per Kwh day and almost 15 night that was the incentive to move and fast.
The reason we got it is because I got the car in October and the dealer forwarded them the details back then and they allow some days past the 31st of December so I got in just really at the end of it and only because the dealer had already submitted the paperwork so now got 20 c Day and 10 cent night + 650 Euro's credit.
Always is when you have to bring a car back. :-(
Yes, they said it's for the insurance but I'd rather transfer over mine for free. But anyway, I can deal with that if they can do whatever they need.
Doubt they'll order a replacement without looking at it first ?
Well, sh!te. My dealer stalled until after 1 January. Only asked me for the MPRN etc. on 4 January. Airtricity rang me yesterday (5 January) but were only offering the €100. I told them I wouldn't switch to them at that offer.
Dealer kind of messed up on this one, it seems to me. I asked in November in an email whether the Airtricity offer was likely to be in place after the first of the year and never got an answer...
Meanwhile, it would appear that the car is in "Offline mode" and I can't get it out of it. Anyone have any ideas?
That's a right pain in the arse alright.
No idea about the off line, I do notice my 4g signal is non existent to minimum.
There should be a toggle switch thingy on the "Goodbye" screen, as you're exiting the car.
Seems a great deal, you were lucky to get it. Seeing that you rarely need to use your charger lol..😁
I'm using it a fair bit unfortunately, the more I'm in the site with the crappy 3 pin plug the less I'm on the other site to suck out all that 11 Kwh per hour. IF the other site had just 7 Kw I'd be fine.
I will consider solar PV this year only if they give a guarantee that the scheme will run for at least 10 years but I expect they won't pay more than 2-3 cent per Kwh and you'll probably have to pay tax on it hardly worth while really. We'll see what the craic is.
Oh yeah, the other issue I noticed, 3 times as from this evening is that the car alarm goes off when walking back towards the car, strange but happened 3 times now so may get them to check this out. Don't want it turning into something that happens at 3 am!
That switch throws an error message about it not being available or some such.
Some of those SolarPV details are out already.... its a "competitive rate" so the provider decides, not the regulator. No guarantee either. Can be anything the provider decides... even 0c/kWh! :)
No tax involved. The last budget gave an exemption upto the first €200 which would cover any export you have on a <6kWp domestic system.
Head over to the renewables forum to see the details/discussions.
I had the same for a few days after Christmas Day. I pulled out fuse 19 for a few minutes after advice here and it was back online when I went for a drive about an hour later.
Holy sh1t, some change in consumption in the cold weather. Summer commute of 120km was taking me from 80% to more than 45%. Same drive today plus additional 20km later tonight took me from 83% to 16%! 58kwh model.
If this keeps up it'll be a fun descent in the morning.
Winter tyres will earn their keep.
No snow out my way. Just looking out the window now.
