For anyone around Cork, the Tommy Ryan memorial is going ahead in Carrigaline.
The Cork BHAA calendar for this year is looking good - https://www.corkbhaa.com/calendar/
@opus Do you know if you can register for these if your company isn't listed. For Dublin you just register as a day runner but I don't see a similar option on Cork. Have emailed them but no reply yet.
I’d be interested to know this too, have been tempted by the odd race of their’s in Cork in past. Only ever did one BHAA race, a 5 mile race in Dunboyne and really enjoyed the whole experience.
You can run as a guest at most BHAA races in Cork for €10 as opposed to €5 for registered runners.
There is a separate registration on the day for guests. This was pre-COVID so there may be pre-reg online for some races now.
Best race on the calendar run by a former club mate of mine ☺️
Thanks @Yermander yes we had the same in Dublin too, you could pay on the day so I might chance that.
Exactly what Yermander said, I don't see any online registration for the one next w/end so just show up there really. It's only three events down on pre-pandemic times & one of those is because the company that organises it will only be at 25% capacity in their offices so organising a race wouldn't look the best.
2022 Raheny 5 Mile on Sunday 30th. January - Sold out.
Entries open for The Streets of Portlaoise March 17th. Only 1000 places.
Lovely stuff, wonder how the Pamplona bull run, I mean start line will work.
If anyone wants an entry for Trim 10 miler, I can transfer it over to you. Picked up an injury last week so ain't happening for me........😪
Race number just arrived in the post this morning 👍️
Has anyone here ran the Adare 10k before? What is the course like(i.e route, is it fast/flat etc) I believe it generally gets a decent turn out
It's not flat but it's not desperately hilly either. I'd consider it a fast race as there's usually a decent turnout and plenty of runners of all levels to chase or work with. Second half is lumpy. Do you already have an entry?
Thanks @Swashbuckler . Yes entry sorted
.

Had to laugh when I saw this:
Bundle discount -€8.00
Bundle Fee €6.65
Total €101.65
Haven't seen the 2020 entries update yet on completed orders but organizers have said these will transfer.
I paid €48 for a HM in Tullamore - so its decent value for 4 races.
I agree, just funny how processing fees pretty much clear a discount.
Anyone who got bundle for €75 two years ago is also sitting pretty now.
Agree, the race series is still good value. Races have got more costly. However having never been on the organising end of things, I have no idea of running costs so I dare not complain. It just means I am a bit pickier about the events I sign up to and will probably only target a very small handful of races each year. I also seem to be hitting the years of peak chasing my tail at weekends with kids doing sports/matches/competitions in different locations so to be fair to my OH a small handful of races each year is about all I can expect to squeeze in anyhow. At the moment I only have 1 lined up for this year (Spring), and will possibly only do 1 other (Autumn), maybe the FD 10m or race series half 🤔
Tallaght 5 Mile is a welcome addition. Hopefully they'll get a decent crowd. Course looks decent although it includes decent drag through Killinarden around Mile 4. Will definitely try and fit a couple of the races in.
Spring you say? Time for a log update E .
Does anyone know if the Terenure 5 Mile is coming back this year?
Bob Heffernan & Mary Hanley 5K is now open for entries.

First time to do this but apparently it is a quick enough course?
