Because they need to butter up public opinion first, they cannot go faster than public opinion because if so they mightn't abide by whatever regulations they come up with.
Hence the boiling frog system, just lie to people saying its temporary and only for x or y scary variant etc etc until you have broken the public spirit and they will just give in and do what you want in the hope it will make it all go away.

Conspiracy theorists will just modify their "story". They'll claim these measures are only temporarily being removed. Even if all measures are removed, they'll just claim it's all temporary, it was to "test our compliance" or some bullshit. They'll go nuts at any remaining measures. They'll go nuts if any country has a flare up and has to reintroduce measures. They'll go nuts if another variant suddenly emerges after years of calm.
One thing I've learnt about conspiracy theorists is that they'll always invent a narrative to fit whatever happens. This is why so many of them don't put dates or details on stuff, that's because their BS needs to be flexible. And even if they do make an actual prediction, they often just rereg or disappear when it passes and nothing happens.
This forum is a graveyard of all their horseshit over the years.
The fact that they've claimed all this stuff before about other emergencies and disasters doesn't stop them either.
They know it too. How often have we pointed out that the claims have been made before for other events, only to have conspiracy theorists not even acknowledge the point.
They know those past predicts were false and they aren't any different than the current ones. That's why they ignore and rewrite reality in their heads.

Yes, restrictions have been lifted, we are not under lockdown. So they aren't all permanent, that's patently false.
Mandatory vaccines are on the table for certain countries, we've had them in the past. Apart from medical exemption, I still haven't seen anyone provide one valid reason why someone shouldn't be vaccinated. It reduces the risk of contracting the virus, transmitting it to others and dramatically reduce the risk of hospital/ICU/death, so I am curious as to what you can come up with..
What's the conspiracy behind mandatory vaccines? When posters say a conspiracy theorist is right, does that mean they agree that mandatory vaccines are part of a plan to take all their possessions away or make them a 5g hotspot or make them magnetic?
The action itself is not a conspiracy (and in this case it was mentioned in the minutes of a NPHET meeting but will be totally unnecessary for Ireland).
Other countries already have mandatory vaccination (Italy for example), it's already part of their health system, was it a conspiracy that existed there before COVID?
For it to be a conspiracy you need to show a motive that means the public are being lied to about something. Hence the mandatory vaccine thread will continue to exist on the COVID forum with multiple posters not understanding what a conspiracy is yet still thinking that it's some proof of a conspiracy.
