Presuming a lot of us own James and need to ship him due to his hamstring injury then upcoming blank GWs due to Club World Cup.

Dias looks an obvious move but Im not so sure on doubling up on the CIty defence when they have Arsenal & Chelsea in the next two GWs and they dont have a double GW is a good idea. Hard to know what direction to go, the decision will be made easier if we get news of the fixture rearrangements before the deadline.

Taking a punt on Targett myself as a James replacement. Villa have looked improved since Gerard has taken over and think he might offer attacking potential like Cash does but he does not have as many yellow cards built up. I know it makes more sense to wait for double game week decisions but I think it is a move I want to make for more than just one week anyway.

Looking at Cash too, he's looks so attacking any time I watch him. Was considering a Spurs defender but don't think Reguilon is nailed and not sure about Royal/Davies. Castagne is a consideration too but Leicester have no centre backs left with Ndidi and Amartey off to AFCON so not sure their defence is worth investing in. Hope we get some sort of announcement today.

I have the same front three and think I will stick with them for a while. Ronaldo had a tap in from a shot rebounding and a misscontrol that gave him an assist in the game against Burnley so I'm not convinced he will earn as much points against the higher ranked teams. Probably use my money in the bank to bring in De Bruyne next week but not decided who will make way for him yet.

It seems Nigeria messed up themselves, Watford are well within their rights to refuse to release him, if what I'm reading is true.

If Watford messed up then fair enough, FIFA should enforce a ban, if requested by Nigeria.

But they haven't yet, they've called up a replacement already.

BBC Sport Africa understands the NFF conceded it may have left it late and is now in a weakened position to request Dennis to travel.

United did play well last night at least compared to their turgid performance v Newcastle. But its hard to know how much stock to put in a game v Burnley who were missing some players. United do have a great run of fixtures for the next 7 GWs though, 5 of the teams they face are in the bottom half of the table.

If you're spending the 12.5m in one position the choice really is Kane or Ronaldo. Ive gone Kane myself for now as I reckon him and Son are going to click. But if not Im fully prepared to switch to Ronaldo GW 24-27 when its Burnley, Soton, Leeds, Watford. There is a concern about Ronaldos minutes over those four fixtures though as European football will be back during that run. With Kane he more or less always plays the full 90 and Spurs are out of Europe too. Both are on penalties so equal on that score.

Great point on Kane not having any European games unlike Ronaldo who is definitely a rotation risk when Champions league is back soon. I think I'ma sit tight for this week with Antonio, Watkins & Dennis and reevaluate next week whether I should bring either one of them in.

Chelsea probably want it off because of injuries. I'm not sure how many cases they have at the moment.

Liverpool are missing 3 first team players with COVID, potentially more. There's a few injuries too.

Both clubs have been plowing on through the COVID games already this season, to their detriment, and seen Man City pull away with their lead. Chelsea wanted the Wolves game postponed but it was rejected. Hard to know what they will want to do for this game.

I think sitting tight for this week is what Id do too. You also get to see Ronaldo play v Wolves who have been very tight defensively recently, they would be a better barometer than Burnley last night.

If Chelsea Liverpool gets called off many will be down 4-5 players, would be an absolute disaster again and potential free hit territory for me anyway as Ive already got Broja out. Plus if we dont get news of DW22 today its probably unlikely to arrive before the deadline at 11am, right after it would be my guess. Hopefully we might get some leaks of it, all the clubs would know whats happening in advance of the announcement so it should leak out.
