Hi
The info on the link is gone. Can you tell me were you able to use the sim card in the router?
I have a old vodafone router and the sim doesn't work in it even tough I can hotspot off the sim via a mobile phone?
Just wondering what I am doing wrong.
Thanks
have you entered apn setting?
I didn't end up using the Vodafone X sim but I do remember when that link worked (it was to a huge Vodafone X deal thread), there were posters there who had it working in desktop routers. As stanley1 said, make sure you have the correct apn entered; live.vodafone.com

Probably a bit late but for anyone searching for this setup, I've been running Vodafone X SIM for the parents for past year and half with very few issues.
Using a Huawei B525-23a router (in attic) and twin Iskra P58 antennae (outside on chimney). They are pointing to a mast 12km away in local town of Callan. We're on a hill so have a clear line of sight.
Limited to 10Mbps with the X plan but when testing originally with my normal Vodafone SIM it was capable of 40+Mbps.
As mentioned, the APN is live.vodafone.com
Your kit should be capable for more than that, but happy days if it suites you.
Ya, would have thought that myself but had Three before on a nearer mast and it would only do 3-5Mbps at best and drop to nothing at peak times. Getting 40Mbps+ was very good for us. I should note, mobile phones struggle to work on 4G so we're possibly at the limit of reception.
Doesn't matter too much now though as using the Vodafone X as that's limited to 10Mbps anyways and it's maintains that consistently.
If you want to remove the speed limit you can move to the Vodafone X 5G plan for €25.

Interesting. Do you need to have 5G hardware to activate it? Or is it just a case of registering for it?
To switch to the plan just follow this procedure - texting from your router should do the job.
