12 bears IPA Xmas box reduced to 15 yoyos in aldi
Cheers.Anyone know which one tastes better . Aldi or lidl Xmas box
Lidls supposed to be nicer will report back once consumed
I bought the Lidl box last week, and am working my way through it - I have to say, there are some really lovely beers there. The pale ale, the IPA and the red ale are seriously good. Can't comment on the Aldi one, but I would highly recommend the Lidl one . . .
Slabs of Bulmers 440ml 17 euro, Lidl
Captain Cook rum 8.50
Jameson 18 euro
all Lidl
That's a great bargain on the rum, it tastes fine
Its not even close, the Crafty Brewing in Lidl.
As an aside, it seems the Crafty Brewing Cider is gone. Looked for it twice lately, wanted to compare it to the Aldi one.
Hankey Bannister 70cl €12 Dunnes
Is the rum on sale now? Wasnt in my local Lidl?
Not sure if this has been posted before, but anyone close to the border. Sainsburys have 25% of 6 bottles and 12 off 60 for new accounts.
I did 3 click&collect orders, all collected the same day & time, just put a full stop in the middle of my gmail address and it viewed it as a new account.
The rum was in my local Lidl. They seem to have reduced most of their own brand spirits
Great price!! Should have bought more really
Yes, I got it today but don't know how long it will be for
Captain Morgan is 15 btw
31st December or while stocks last, whichever comes first. Most likely their budget own-brand booze will permanently disappear from shelves come January.
I don't normally go political, but have just sent an email to Frank Feighan, TD, frank.feighan@oir.ie
He was the person behind this MUP.
I outlined the negative results of this legislation. I know it is too little too late.
I did give an example of a pensioner who enjoys his few cans of Guinness and the effect it will have on him,
"So taking into account the fact he can no longer take advantage of the €10 voucher and with the MUP I estimate his weekly shopping will increase from €34 to €46.50 since last January"
Groceries €38, Guinness €6 = €44 less €10 voucher = €34
Next year Groceries €38, Guinness €8.50 = €46.50
Not to mention the attraction of NI next year to a border TD.
He's never going to change his mind. You'd be better off contacting opposition TDs
Only reduced to €12.99 in my near store
Just back from Lidl, 24 cans of Budweiser for €15 with their app (I signed up in store) I picked up 2, €18 for Jameson, €15 for Gordons Gin and €15 for Smirnoff Vodka, 3 x 2 liters of Coke for €5 as well.
Going to sign up for a few more Lidl accounts and stock up on the beer, they are dated until November, the 2 I got tonight will barely last till January
Unfortunately it received cross party support.
I hope there's as many of them around to help with the heroin problem MUP will cause in a years time.
Yes and its down from 20 euro to €15 now too.
There was a few of them in Lidl Ennis this evening @ €15, I was tempted but figured I already had steaks, 48 beers, bottle of gin, whiskey and vodka so didn't want to look like a complete slob.

Dunnes have Linden village flagon at just 4.50.
Mup for this will be 9.47. Strong ciders are gonna be hard hit
Baveria 8 pack for €6
Some of their discount beers are down to 50cent a can. I'm gonna really miss the cheap brands
Anyone know what that dungalgan whiskey is like? See it on offer in lidl
Last Christmas !!!!! . Its only reaching its best by now. Nicest cans of draft Guinness I ever tasted was a four year old six pack that i discovered while tidying up the shed. Cheers.
Why can't he use the voucher against the groceries?
I admire your effort btw. Think this MUP lark is an absolute disgrace.
You have to spend €50 to use the €10 off voucher which brings your total cost to €40.
Since January this year you can't add in a bottle of wine or a few cans to bring your spend up to €50.
Therefore you forgo the benefit of the €10 voucher but you do get the €5 voucher discount for spending over €25.
So you add the €5 lost to the extra MUP will cost you.
All of this assumes that you can't buy more groceries each week to get up to the €50.
Aldi

Tesco
