No, you don't answer the question in context. You're just deliberately dodging the question, we'll just throw you on the burning tyre fire that is bad faith posters here shall we or are you going to engage maturely?
Here was the 'question'
'Explain the phrase gerrymandering, and give us a current example'
I answered. You don't like the answer, and are now throwing your toys out of the pram. As for mature posting, go look at your own posts, getting a sly dig in at another poster, and asking me if I'm a troll. I have, for example, accepted my post re trump banging on about election fraud after he lost was wrong. That, of course, is a sign of maturity.
To conclude, your question: asked and answered.
The republicans failed to hold him accountable at the impeachment hearing regarding his cheating at the 2020 election.
The republicans enabled trump with the attempted coup by lying about election fraud.
The republicans continue to try and gloss over what Trump did and therefore place him in good stead to be the front runner, to do this all again.
So, there you have three concrete examples of how the republicans are just as bad as trump.
Bringing it back to your latest point "democrats are the same as republicans" - would you like to rephrase?
Because the comparison is at best lazy and at worst, completely disingenuous.
1 4 year old tweet versus a concerted campaign to undermine confidence in the electoral system.
A campaign that lead to the Capitol building being stormed.
One side as bad as the other, my hole.
Lest we forget that this is the same guy who cried rigged over something as innocuous as the Emmy awards. The post 2020 fraud allegations are merely the planned playbook post-2016 subsequently playing out four years later. If Clinton had won then the same election fraud allegations would be touted, the same cases would have been chucked from courts, the same pool of people who voted for Trump would have been pressed for multi-millions in donations to "stop the steal", a groundswell of discord and distrust in the electoral system would have been put in place with Trump's narcissim basking in and enjoying calls for running again in 2020 and the whole thing providing a foundation for the purported conservative media channel his Organisation wanted to set up. There’s a lot of money to be made from exploiting gullible people. Given his own history of crying rigged then it's not that unbelievable to think that Trump knew he would never actually win but could create cashing in opportunities to keep the wolves from the door by running and stoking hyper partisan politics and putting it on proverbial steroids. The whole thing was thwarted because his toxic rhetoric actually landed with a decisive number of voters and he won the election in 2016. He's doing the same thing now but the fundamental flaw in the plan is that he and his admin were, unlike the run in to ’16, in charge for the preceding four years and their cries of fraud are very much diluted as a result.
You never answered in context, you know that. Just another bad faith poster who runs away when challenged, christ you lot are tiresome
You can see why this guy pissed and moaned when he's kicked off the Jan 6 commitee.
Of all the gop trump toads, I find gym the most loathsome.
This scandal should end his career, unfortunately it won’t.
He was recently asked did he phone trump on the 6th of January, Watching him squirm and deflect was glorious.
Madison Cawthorn is the next one to watch.
Covering up sexual abuse should have been the end of his career but we know Republican voters don't really care what sort of filth they vote into office
That was to do with illegal foreign interference and funding of the election, not fake votes being cast.
What do you mean not 'answered in context'. You asked a question and that question was answered. You seem to be upset with the valid answer given. I see you are throwing out more insults. Not very mature, is it!
It was an attempt to undermine the result.
Very true.
I’d say this scandal could be huge for the whole of the gop.
The Ohio State sex abuse scandal should have ended his career.
You can try and justify that you answered the question within the area of american politics but you gave a link (not your own explaination) to something happened in hong kong, and yet still trying to justify that as a reasonable answer and now you still can't and won't do it. How do you expect to engage with people in meaningful debate if you're going to be that obtuse?
You asked for an example of current Gerrymandering, and you were given one. And yes, I provided evidence that it is happening in Hong Kong, a little better than 'giving my own explanation'. Maybe ask more precise questions in the future. Do better.
No it wasn't.
It was to highlight that foreign powers had had illegal influences over the election process and to figure out who and how and to ensure that it couldn't happen again. They never questioned the result of the vote, at least not more than for a few surprised moments immediately after the election.
There were no attempts to get the results changed, just to ensure that foreign influences wouldn't be allowed again.
You fudged the answer to be obtuse because your argument that 'both sides are just as bad as each other' fails to stand up when faced with any scrutiny. So are you going to explain what gerrimandering is and give an american example? in your own words?
there are a couple of examples in this article. All by republicans of course so doesn't really support a "both sides" argument
We both know what gerrymandering is, or do you not? And if you don't, a simple Google will tell you.
As for an American example, sure, here you are.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/abc7chicago.com/amp/illinois-redistricting-map-2021-gerrymandering-2022-election/11180225/
Yet they are doing, such as in Illinois (see above). Just goes to show you what selective reporting by media outlets can do.
Love it. Similar, but a wee bit less subtle, when he visited Scotland.
The best defence to libel is that it is a true statement....
Not true. If trump was, then he'd be grabbing himself like Michael Jackson doing Smooth Criminal. Because, long before he was a failed president, he was a self-admitted sexual assaulter. Let's not forget that.... And they STILL voted him in... and then out.
You initial claim were that they were as bad as each other. We all know about the GOP gerrymandering, and now supporting a man that tried to illegally overturn the result of an election.
What examples of the Democrats do you have that make them equal in your eyes?
The Democrats have, and are, Gerrymandering aswell. I've given an example above.
It's good to see the Dems finally playing the same game as the Republicans. For decades they have been getting screwed because they wouldn't get down in the gutter.
You can probably buy old Chump University bachelors certificates online for cheap. You can’t find old Chump rump steaks online. That doesn’t mean the Chump brand is not bankable. Lawl.
The Pelosi example? I must have missed the actual evidence because that is not it surely?
