Carlsberg slabs still €15 in Aldi this evening.
The cans are made from aluminium which doesn't corrode for decades, it would be safe for years after best before date.
Not that much of a bargain by any means but just Incase anyone is interested, Blacks beer and gin offers

was very nice for €2.00 at my local Tesco 😃
Where was that? 3.33 in Ennis yesterday, got last 2 bottles
There are a few "VIP Offers" on the Lidl app, in the Treats section. Yet to be revealed what they are but should be interesting. They're blacked out currently to protect their identity but one of the outlines looks like a slab/box of beer. Hard to think their prices could go much lower.
Whats the Carlsberg like lads? Now you know me from my previous post that ill have a bash at any owl piss haha. (edit : EXCEPT STELLA 😂)
Naas - Ennis is rip off u - LOL
I'd classify it somewhere between Heineken and Budweiser. One plus with it is that every crate seems the same, not received a 'bad' one. For €15 it's certainly drinkable.
Hows the head the next morning? The budweiser has the stomach in a jock everytime I drink it.
Wouldn't be great but a little easier than Budweiser.
That sounds good enough for me, thanking you. Just trying to figure out how many trays can the missus can carry 🤣
When is the €15 Carlsberg finishing? Is it just in Aldi?
If I was a betting man my money would be on that box of beer being the selection of the 12 Crafty Brewing Co. beers in the christmas box currently retailing for €20 but with MUP will need to be ~€40 in January
Hope I'm wrong, but my money is on a box of tayto crisps.
Will it only be beer that goes up or will spirits be able to be discounted.
thanks
They do usually reduce those at christmas time so that was going to be my second guess
Been wondering also how MUP will impact pricing (aside from the obvious of prices rising).
Lidl crafty box in stock €20. Lovely selection of beers for the price, tipped away nicely at them last christmas day.
the start date is jan 4th, in case people are thinking of stocking up at the last minute. There may be good deals last minute on own brand stuff which is likely to go unsold at MUP.
700ml 40% will be €22.09, 700ml 37.5% will be €20.71. I am expecting to see other things to make up for it, like more sets with glasses or other freebies. They could also pair bottles in a box, like a premium priced smirnoff black & a standard red bottle in a set for MUP, which is about the same price they would be now.
70cl of black label at 40% and red at 37.5% is 20.71+22.09 would be €42.80 minimum price, what does the package sell for now?
I can see this going two ways, the supermarkets making packages of chocolates and wine or pizza and beer or like we had with the euro changeover all beer increases by the same price
Dunnes
Molson 20x330 bottles €12
Carlsberg 20x300 bottles €12
Tesco have Bells Scotch blended whisky 70cl for €15 if you need something for hot toddies \ ginger macs... or can handle its rough edges :)
Gordon's Gin (including Sicilian Lemon variety) is €15; or you can get 1 litre of the standard Gordon's Gin for €20.
€15 also for Smirnoff, Captain Morgans 70cl
the Stout one is a good one, followed by the Charred and then the Sherry as per my taste buds - worth a buy (Tho the Jameson Stout is also at a reduced price in SuperValu €28)
I think with MUP a case of 24 cans is looking like €40. That would be 4.3%. If it was 5% I think it will be nearer €50. Some difference with the offers now
18 330ml bottles of miller, €12 Tesco
24 50cl bud €15 tomorrow with Lidl app
Is Dunnes the only place with an offer on Hennessy? It's €25 there but allegedly "on offer" in Tesco for €30 according to their website
Anything on Jemmie , Powers or Paddy lads?
70cl Jameson is €20 in supervalu until 15th. Don't think it's cheaper anywhere else at the moment.
