A relatively new house (built circa 2000 going by the planning docs) trying reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally hard to be an old house.

I genuinely had to stop looking at that, I was getting a pain in my eyes. They need to turn off HDR on the camera, or if it actually looks like that in real life, I'd need the same price again to gut and re do the place! Nice otherwise.
One bathroom is a bit skimpy for four bedrooms in a house that size!
It has 3 bathrooms and 5 bedrooms.
I really like it actually, would definitely need to gut all the carpets and wallpaper but if it was stripped back I think it would be gorgeous.
Where are the servants' quarters? 😀
Well there is a spare kitchen and bathroom for the games room over the garage so I assume the servants could live in the garage if needed.
The 2 eras in the one house would give me a psychological disorder.
Not one, not two, but three grandfather clocks!
Maybe the owners moved out of a period house into that one for, well, reasons. I doubt the house is for sale with those furnishings anyway.
It's a decent enough house in fairness. Just has some built in tackiness.
In saying that though - It is a dream of mine to live in a house with a secret room hidden behind a bookcase. I'd nearly buy it for that reason alone (if I had that sort of money).
My house is like that. I have three hidden rooms and a secure panic room hidden also. The glass on all the windows and doors are bullet proof. Cost me a small bit of cash but money is no problem for me but I do have scumbags after me at times.
One bedroom has an en suite; the shower room in the garage has no access from the house, you have to go outside; the 'bathroom' downstairs is just a toilet. So that leaves the one main bathroom for four bedrooms.
If you've 13 million dollars to spare you can buy Gene Simmons' house
I like all the trees but it must take some amount of water and maintenance to keep them alive here. And all the grass. Wasteful.
Some amount of bulbs too.
Crazy, crazy, crazy, crazy lights...
Perfect !! I wouldn't change a thing about it.
The grass is artificial turf.
Sold back in May for $8.2m according to the market table data in the advert.......complete chancer.
That is an abomination.
(Simmons House) - no, I prefer my house human scaled. Its impressive but looks like a hotel. How do you actually live in those huge houses? I couldn't imagine myself coming in from work/shopping/whatever, changing my shoes/coat etc and making a cuppa before collapsing in one of those settee arrangements. It would feel like living in an abandoned hotel. How long does it take to get from your seat in the living room to, say, your bedroom? How would you keep track of small children? You would need a team to work full time cleaning all the glass and polishing the chrome. Can you imagine the 'where did I leave my car keys' situation!

Pretty feckin' comfortably at a guess.
How would you keep track of small children?
Ask the Au Pair.
You would need a team to work full time cleaning all the glass and polishing the chrome.
Ask the cleaner if they need a co-worker. Maybe the pool boy could help.
Can you imagine the 'where did I leave my car keys' situation!
You drive a car that no longer uses physical keys, but digital keys tied to your phone. Everyone knows where their phone is.
Not sure if it's the angle or the wood pattern, but the first bathroom photo makes it look like the toilet roll holder is really far away from the toilet. Like, you'd have to stand up from the seat and move forward to get the toilet paper, leaving the risk of dropping poop on the floor/your jocks.
It is the suits of armour that do it for me..
Over twice the price of Gene Simmons house and the same level of otherworldliness. That's some part of the world for extravagant housing.
32M and only 4 bedrooms? they must be having a laugh.
Sure they are only looking for almost 3000% more than 10 years ago. It makes the other one look cosy by comparison.
and what is this? a lie down shower?
The 80's called. Sonny Crokett wants to buy
That's some gaff.
Pretty sure the house was only built in 2018 or 2019. That was the price of the plot.
It's one guy and his 2 dogs living there in 14,000 sq ft. Jesus.
4 beds 9 baths.
9? Just how many arses do they expect?
They have two cinema screens. One in a cinema and one randomly somewhere.
That place is like a peasants hut, compared to this
The One - 105000sq.ft, 42 bathrooms, 21 bedrooms, $350m
