Mmm… Utd have lost 3 semi finals and a final under ole because of their lack of striker who can score important goals/someone who is a clinical finisher… I would definitely consider that a problem.
Who would have scored the goals Ronaldo did this season if he wasn’t there ?
Cavani constantly unavailable
Rashford out with surgery
Martial has been terrible for a number of years
Greenwood too young to depend on/ had covid
ole had to sign Ighalo because he had no actual finisher….
last season was a very low 2nd place points total, a lot of the results were come from behind and narrow victory’s, very fine margins…
coaching terrible
management terrible
so many thing wrong
to blame Ronaldo for everything is bizzare/insane
Ronaldo has been scoring match changing goals while feeding on scraps. Put him on that city team and he is guaranteed top scorer.
I am a tad bit surprised that the Bundesliga discussion did not touch upon the manner of how Bayern have been able to extract some of the best players from the second placed team.
The fact that as soon as Leipzig finishes second Bayern swoop in to get their Manager, best Midfielder, and a starting Centreback is just a sorry reflection to say the least.
This also just goes back from a historical perspective when you look at how Lewandowski left Dortmund.
True, Ken seems to just parrot whatever jonathan wilson says..
It's a pity they have Paul Flynn on with Oisin McConville. Find Paul fairly dull and struggle to listen through when he's on
Yeah, losing Andy Moran to OTB was a big loss to their GAA coverage
I’ve come to enjoy Flynn, but be does love his corporate lingo
Yeah, I really like McConville now. Took a while to get past the dour tone & accent but he's excellent and quite funny.
Flynn is just a bit bland. Would be great if they could get McCaffery in more often, although I just find him a fascinating & refreshing character rather than an excellent analyst.
Today's interview with Willie Anderson was great. An incredibly fascinating and intriguing person with quite a storied lifetime behind him so far. Think I'll have to buy the book after both the review of it last week, and the interview today.
Good interview, i wouldnt care enough about the sport part to read The book
Was it just me or did Ken come across incredibly hostile with the journalist Karan Tejwani who was on to discuss Ajax on Thursday's pod? Every point the guest made was almost dismissively challenged. TBF to the guest he remained very composed.
I hope the lads don't drone on about vaccine stuff today, I love the show but there's a smugness to their talk about it that I really don't like.
Josh Kimmich is now experiencing lung problems from his COVID infection and non vaccination. Likely to warrant a mention.
I hope not, but we'll see.
I've tidied your first sentence -
Kimmich is experiencing lung problems from his COVID infection.
Get vaccinated and there's less chance of noticing the "smugness"
Are you saying that getting vaccinated affects your brain to the extent you'd fail to notice obvious things on podcasts?
Hmm, I'll look into that, thanks.
I skipped the Ken nutrition audio bed, and thought I set my audio to 1.5x speed when I heard the scouse lad from Anfield Wrap.
Ha!
I frequently listen back at 1.5 speed and I don't even notice anymore that it's quicker than it's supposed to be, but, fcking hell, that Anfield Rap guy talked at an insane pace.
Looks more like you removed a piece of valid information that you don't like (and a key piece of information in Kimmich's story, given that he has changed his stance on vaccination), rather than tidied it.
You mean you hope the lads don't mention anything that disagrees with your antivaxx agenda
Really enjoyed John Brewin and Neil Atkinson. Neil's rant at Stuart Atwell was superb
Lads, leave the Vax v antivax out of this thread please.
The Scouse lad was ridiculous. I also listen to the pod at a faster speed. How quick did he talk!!
Good article from Ken and important to debunk the nonsense that's being peddled lately by a particular cohort.
No mention of Perez's sh*thousery in the Formula 1 pod though, a glaring omission.
I listen to The Anfield Wrap and Neil Atkinson is fantastic. He's got a great football mind, not just on Liverpool but on all aspects of football. Himself and Rory Smith had a series of podcasts during the lockdown break on how to fix football in the future, some really interesting stuff came from it (Rory Smith being another one of my favourites). Great to hear him on Second Captains and hopefully he's back on in the future.
Nope.
Poster said 'Josh Kimmich is now experiencing lung problems from his COVID infection and non vaccination' .. which is obviously nonsense, how could he be experiencing lung problems from not having a vaccination?
'antivaxx agenda' LOL, You ok hun? 😂
What purpose or benefit do you believe the vaccination to have?
I've no interest in debating the merits of the vaccine.
I was just pointing out a mistake in your post where you said someone was experiencing lung problems from non vaccination.
so your approach is to tell people they are wrong but provide no evidence to back that assertion up?
What assertion? That people get sick from Covid?
Are you saying the vaccine doesn’t provide protection to lung issues caused by covid?
or you are saying Kimmich’s lung issues are unrelated to his COVID infection?
you need to clarify what you are saying so your posts retain some merit.
