Not that much of a bargain by any means but just Incase anyone is interested, Blacks beer and gin offers

The cans are made from aluminium which doesn't corrode for decades, it would be safe for years after best before date.
Carlsberg slabs still €15 in Aldi this evening.
Yeah good lad, gonna make a burst on stock myself before MUP kicks in but i think everybody's gonna be thinking the same way-might be pandemonium in the beer aisles before jan 1?🙈🍺
What’s the best storage place long term for the next 8-10 months ,
have a shed outside but it’ll be damp,
attic will be cold in winter but summer will be hot up there.
Hoping to fit a few in a bedroom upstairs and leave the heat off in that room ,
Bitterol is 3.99 in my local Lidl. Any idea what's nice to mix it with? A friend told me to mix it with beer, that can't be right!!!!
I have 6 trays of Carlsberg in the utility room. Herself isn't looking too pleased 😂
Tesco and Dunnes - €18 Jameson and SuperValu €20 Jack Daniels
Wasn't MUP made illegal in the European courts a few years back or did I dream of that happening? Something to do with wine from eastern europe being at a competitive disadvantage to beer
Hennessy €25 Dunnes this morning. Some good reductions on other spirits and 20% off wines.
It will just go like cigarettes. I don't know anyone that buys cigarettes in Irish shops anymore. Cigarettes are all sold on the black market now.
my tesco has no cheap own brand vodka or gin now. It is not just sold out, the shelf area is being used by others now, they were very large areas as it sold so well. So looks like they planned ahead for it.
MUP is less in the UK so people would still go. A bottle of smirnoff will be €20.71 here and £13.13/€15.44 in scotland. I don't think people fully realise the price increases for some people. If drinking at the HSE low risk limit of 17 units a man drinking cheap alcohol will see an increase of nearly €500 per year.
For sure. That's my plan anyway, stock up enough to get me through to Summer, then head up north every 6 months or so.
they were meant to bring in MUP North and South at the same time to avoid such possibilities. The North has delayed it, or postponed it or something where the South are driving on with this. Pure madness.
Majority of the population live within an hour of the border. An open border at that. I see it falling flat on its face in 12 months from now
Canadian - 15€ slabs - Aldi.
I’m hopeful the retailers will manufacture a workaround for this MUP shîte. Otherwise, their off-sales will be through the floor…and they know it. Who in their right mind would pay almost €1.70 for a can of Galahad/Dutch gold.
Sorry Dunnes stores.
Power's 23 for 1 litre.
Hi, any good 1 litre deals on any Irish whiskey anywhere? Thanks
€20 in lidl
I got it for €20 the other day in Aldi
Just a heads up, the Guinness tray is €24 (not €20) for 24 cans in Aldi
Lidl Castelgy London dry gin is reduced from 13.85 to half price at 6.90. Never tasted it but at half-price I will give it a go!
I know it's more of a Summer drink but Bitterol is only 3.99 in Lidl. Aperol was also reduced to a tenner. Stock up for next Summer!
They're still restocking it and Im still buying more, have to hide the stockpile from the family this Christmas in case they think Im an alcoholic:
Until when anyone know?
Aldi
18 euro tray of heino just about gone, should of got 2. Whos awake with spares??? 😂
Nope. And the date on beer is a 'best before' date which can safely be ignored.
Many/most of these sub-MUP budget offerings are just being withdrawn from the market, rather than bumped up in price, so what stock is left in the system is being flogged off before the end of the month. As we get ever nearer to MUPday, expect remaining stocks to get ever cheaper.
